  • HR 511 was passed by the Judiciary Comittee to the House for a Vote--how can I save my snakes?

This bill proposes to add Boa Constrictors, Reticulated Pythons, and Green Anacondas to the Lacey Act's list of Injurious Wildlife. If it passes, it will become a FELONY for me to take my super-dwarf reticulated pythons with me when I move to a different State. Owners of any type of boa constrictor (red-tails, Columbian, Hogg Island, etc) will be guilty of a FELONY if they take their snake with them across a State line. What can I do to prevent this TERRIBLE law from being passed?

  • I heard that the Federal Python Ban Bill is scheduled for Hearing tomorrow!?

What can I do to help fight this, and prevent Boa constrictors, Green Anacondas, and Reticulated pythons from being added to the Injurious Species list of the Lacey Act?

This would make it illegal to transport these species across State Lines, or import them. You would not be able to take a pet boa with you, if you moved out of State!
