I'm a trained scientist and try to be helpful. But I value quality over quantity so I will refrain from doing other people's homework. Also I am disinclined to answer questions that can be solved by a minute's thought or a microsecond's use of a Popular Search Engine Beginning With G.
Suddenly green-tinted vision?
Earlier today I got a headache, some dizziness and then suddenly, for a minute or two, I perceived everything as green. What could that be? All symproms more or less cleared after an hour, the vision returned to normal after 2 minutes. Could this be dehydration? I'm not sure I drank enough this morning.

When a hot car engine is turned off after a long drive, you can hear this distinctive 'tic...tic...tic' from the engine compartment. I thought it may be the engine block's metal shrinking that causes the noise but it is far too regular for that isn't it? What causes the noise, exactly?

So I want to ask: What do you personally associate with this term, what do you think it means?
4 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoWhy play sick when you're about to be laid off?
I'm from Europe and can't understand why somebody in America would do this. I saw it in a TV series where a woman was expecting to be laid off and this prompted her to seek expensive diagnostic attention, even though she was perfectly healthy. The doc even agreed and awrded her a totally unecessary full body scan. Why would she do this?
