  • Why does my dog get lethargic after Clavamox?

Ok so I found a puppy in the desert and her tail was docked (doberman) and it looked infected. I took her to the vet yesterday and they prescribed her Clavamox, and of course her shots etc.. This vet looked abandoned, was very malnourished and her tail was in bad shape. I put her on taste of the wild and force fed her electrolytes and water.

Anyway, she was doing really well today. She was running and jumping and playing, she ate very well and drank some water...Then, I gave her the Clavamox and now she is lethargic and just asleep in the corner. Is this at all normal?

  • symptoms normal after gallbladder surgery?

Day 6 today after surgery. Been good so far but finally got out today. Went to the mall. Had some chicken soup and a salad. After walking for a minute started feeling nauseous and tired. Came home and feel better now. The pain is really gone except for where they cut me open (keyhole surgery). Is this normal?

  • I'm having chest pain, GERD or heart attack?

I was told by my family doctor and an ER doctor that I suffer from GERD. I take Omeprezohl and Famotodine once a day (one morning one night). For the last almost week, I have been experiencing mild chest discomfort. The pain seems to move around from under my ribs, behind the nipple, one the side of the peck and in the center of my chest. I am a 28 year old male, slightly over weight but decently active. There is no hx of heart problems in my family. I went to the ER about 7 months back for the same thing, they took x-rays and I assume other diagnostic tests and said all was fine with my heart. Again, I think I may be making it worst by worrying so much but wanted to ask if anyone had advice. I was thinking my body may have gotten used to the omep and famot so I am going to try some rantidine. I have an appointment for a physical on Wednesday 12/5/12, but not sure I wanna wait that long.

  • What are otjer reasons for chest pain?

I was having chest pain Sunday 5/29. I went to the ER and had blood taken, and they did an ekg and xrays. I was told that since I am 27 and early heart attacks do not run in my family that more than likely its not a cardiac issue. The ER doctor said everything looked fine and I wad released. I do suffer from acid reflux and take medication. I continue to have these pains in my chest along with discomfort in my left ARM. Any other ideas as to what It may be?

  • My yorkie pees a lot how can i remedy this?

I have a three month old yorkie. He gets excited, turns on his back and pees a little bit. I understand I cannot stop this but will it continue into adulthood or is it only because he is a puppy? My wife wants to put diapers on him but I don't think its smart because we are house training. Any help will be appreciated.

  • MY 4 month old miniature pinshcer continues to use the restroom in her crate...what can i do?

I have a four month old minitaure pinscher whom I am trying to house and crate train. She is doing fairly well indoors (with the occassional accident) but inside the crate she will pee and "poop" and just lay in it. I was told most dogs will not use the restroom where they sleep. This dog it seems just does not care. I did buy a smaller crate and toys to keep her busy (what I was told at the pet store). I also cut training pads up and put them in the crate towards the back and sprayed some spray in the center. This still sin't working. I have been taking her out about every half our or hour to use the restroom and she eats twice a day. What else can I do to better crate and house train this dog.

  • I purchased an 8 week ond 1 day old minitaure pinscher today and she had diarreah?

I purchased an 8 week and 1 day old miniature pinscher today and when we got home she had gone poop (liquid) in the dog crate. I gave her a bath and she was a little shaken up but went straight to bed in her little bed. About 3 hours later she jumped out of her bed and ran towards the front door (i had already taken her out once). We went outside and she went poop again, again diarreah...What should I do? is this really serious?
