It seems there is a shortage of qualified skilled carpenters, plumbers, electricians, etc. And I'm wondering how many of you know that the pay can be very good. As well as being able to set your own hours and be your own boss.

I was watching this years summer Olympics and got thinking about all the questions on here about the end of times coming in 2012. So I was wandering how many people realized we would manage to squeeze in one more Olympics before the end. Is it coincidence that it is happening in England?

11 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoIs anyone out there going do the darkness thing tonight?
Apparently tonight at 8pm until 9pm, whatever your standard time is, it is Eco-hour or something like that. Everyone is supposed to turn out their lights and use candles. I have to get some. Are you going to do the same? And I wonder if I can challenge those of you in Yahoo!Answers to turn off as much as possible for that hour. Not only to save the enviroment, but did you know that things left plugged into the wall still draw electricity? Maybe we can start a International Yahoo!Gets-un-plugged movement. We could call ourselves 'Yahoo!Guppies'.

4 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoI was wondering?
If so many in Yahoo!Answers are breaking the rules and this a open forum, should Yahoo create an all adult form of Yahoo!Answers. I have seen a lot of avatars that if I had a child under 12 hanging in here I would be upset. But as an adult I have snickered or admired several. As well as, some of the questions, although, suitable for adult conversation, they might not be appropriate for youngsters. I believe Yahoo does a pretty good job of policing civility in here. but could there be a more appropriate forum for those who are different within the Yahoo family?
