Is the extra speed worth the price?
I have to buy a MacBook Pro for college, and I'm unsure whether I should get a 2.4GHz model for $2,177 or slurge for the 2.93GHz at $2,689.
I need to know if this increase of .53GHz is worth the price of $512?

I created a PNG file for my desktop background specifically to avoid seeing JPEG compression artifacts, but when I applied it as wallpaper, there were artifacts anyways! I went back and checked the file i used, and it's still artifact-free.
I'm guessing Windows automatically converts images to jpeg for wallpaper. Does anybody know how to solve this problem?
