  • Have you ever rescued a dog from a shelter?

Please read this little story and tell me how you rescued your dog.

I rescued a human today. Her eyes met mine as she walked down the corridor peering apprehensively into the kennels. I felt her need instantly and knew I had to help her.I wagged my tail, not too exuberantly, so she wouldn't be afraid. As she stopped at my kennel I blocked her view from a little accident I had in the back of my cage. I didn't want her to know that I hadn't been walked today.Sometimes the shelter keepers get too busy and I didn't want her to think poorly of. As she read my kennel card I hoped that she wouldn't feel sad about my past.I only have the future to look forward to and want to make a difference in someone's life. She got down on her knees and made little kissy sounds at me.I shoved my shoulder and side of my head up against the bars to comfort her.Gentle fingertips caressed my neck; she was desperate for companionship. A tear fell down her cheek and I raised my paw to assure her that all would be well. Soon my kennel door opened and her smile was so bright that I instantly jumped into her arms. I would promise to keep her safe.I would promise to always be by her side. I would promise to do everything I could to see that radiant smile and sparkle in her eyes. I was so fortunate that she came down my corridor. So many more are out there who haven't walked the corridors. So many more to be saved. At least I could save one. I rescued a human today.

  • Can I get a free download of Rockefeller Center?

I am making a calendar with pictures of New York City as a fundraiser for our church choir. We are going to sing in Carnegie Hall in June and are trying to raise funds. Does anyone know where I can get a good high resolution picture of Rockefeller Center at Christmas that I can download for free for this calendar?

  • Seven days till this bitter arguing begins in ernest?

Do you all think that the arguing that's been done between the Reps and Dems will get worse after the election? Do you think the win will be as clean as the media has been predicting or will McCain pull it off?

Remember to vote with your brain, and check your emotions at the door. Logic leads the honest heart.

  • Would you all take the time to help me out?

I would like to get an ITouch for my son for Xmas but won't since there are no parental controls on it. I would like to ask that you help me to get Apple to put controls on them for good parents who want to make sure their kids don't view sites that they shouldn't be viewing. Please go to this site http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipodtouch.html and fill out the suggestion box for ITouch. The more response the better.

Also, please tell me if you would get your son or daughter an ITouch without parental controls on it.

    Thank you!

  • Would you rather have a little bit of money?

that you are taking from me to give to someone else. Or would you rather I give them a job?

How do you think Obama would respond to that?

  • Why would Yahoo delete my quesion?

I posted the question, "don't you think every Christian should see this" and it was a video on what Republicans believe in: Pro Life, Less government, etc. What's the deal?

  • Has this question about Colin Powell been asked?

I'm sure it has but I wanted to ask again. Do you think Colin Powell is voting for Obama because he's black? You wouldn't think he would be that shallow, would you. Obama's as far left as you can get. How can Colin Powell justify voting for him? He came up with a few reasons (excuses) but I think they're transparent. Do you think he's looking for a position with Obama?

  • Is it wrong to think Barack's grandma got sick?

at the exact right time to make him look extra sympathetic. I mean, I know he loves her and I know she's sick. His timing is just a little suspect.

I know I'm gonna get crucified for this skepticism and I'm not unsympathetic if this is real.

  • Who do you think they were calling about?

I was at my friend's house this morning and her phone rang. When she checked the caller ID it said, "Arab League". I said, "You've got to answer it" because I was curious. She answered the phone and there was a recording saying, "Please call this number --------------we would like to discuss the election with you".

What nominee do YOU think they were calling about?

I don't want anyone being a smart alec telling me I'm trying to drum up trouble. This actually happened and I'm curious/concerned. Does it bother you? If not, why not?

  • A Obama vs. McCain comparison?

    Experience

    EXECUTIVE

    SUMMARY

    John McCain

    U.S. Navy 22 years

    U.S. Senate 26 years

    Barrack Obama

    Military 0

    U.S. Senate 143 days

Just think how great a professional of any kind you could

be with only 143 days of experience!!!

People want change so badly? Maybe we should lower the experience requirement for doctors, lawyers, airline pilots, etc. This would cause some change!

Obama's 143 Days of Senate Experience

Just how much Senate experience does Barack Obama

have in terms of actual work days? Not much.

From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United States Senator, to the time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory Committee, he logged 143 days of experience in the Senate.

That's how many days the Senate was actually in session and working.

The one single Senate committee that he headed never even met -- once.

After 143 days of work experience, Obama believed he was ready to be Commander In Chief, Leader of the Free World, and fill the shoes of Abraham Lincoln, FDR, JFK and Ronald Reagan.

    Think about it.......143 days -- 20.4 weeks -- 4.7 months

Our children spend more time in pre-school getting ready for kindergarten.

Remember, we live with the consequences of our choices.

Do you know how you're going to make yours yet?

  • Spread the wealth around?

What did Obama mean by that? Is this something we want to do? I don't think so. Some of us have gone to college, all the while working to pay for it. Now we should share with someone who doesn't even want to work? I'm all for helping people who help themselves but......I'm just saying.

  • Democrats, how much is this going to cost us?

ACORN should be sued for every single fraudulent voters registration that is turned in. It is costing us money and taking precious time to check all of these out. Who is going to pay for that? WE ARE, that's who.

Dems, have we Republicans made this up too? How can you just dismiss this?

    15 AnswersElections1 decade ago
  • CNN just announced "serious voter registration flaws"?

There is serious voter registration fraud in Illinois. About 50% of the ACORN registration forms are frauds. The intention was good but has gone all wrong. How do the Democrats feel about this? Embarrassed? Sad? ACORN thinks it's an attack on ACORN to discourage voters. What say you?
