  • boyfriend wants to move in with girl mates?

I've been seeing my boyfriend for over a year now. He's currently living at home and I hoped his next step would be moving in with me, but two girl friends have asked him to move in with them. I'm not very happy about it. He said it shouldn't make a difference if they are guy mates or girl mates, and that they both have boyfriends anyway. He said he's only lived at home or with a gf before, and wants to love with friends. I really don't know what to do about all this. Please help.

  • Disaster with new wok?

OK I just tried to make dinner in my new wok, which is a chrome wok seasoned by someone who I THINK knew what they were doing. However, when I threw my tofu in, the pan caught fire! I blew it out and carried on, adding my black bean sauce etc., then tipped it out to start making egg fried rice, which stuck to the pan. I tried to eat it all anyway, and Im not sure which part of it, but SOMEthing made my mouth feel like I'd licked a battery! My lips and tongue where tingling! I just threw everything in the bin, I was worried I'd done something to the food that would be harmful if consumed :S i did notice when i scrubbed the pan that some of the seasoned layer was either coming of or had come off while cooking. I just don't know what went wrong! Help?!

  • Sore stomach after food?

Ive had a really sore stomach just below my ribs for a few months...actually it's been on and off for years...and the doctor has just been giving me anti-acids for the last 3 or 4 months. she took blood tests and everything seems fine, none of the bacteria likely to cause a stomach ulcer or anything. ive cut caffeine and alcohol out of my diet because it makes it worse, but I have trouble eating decent sized portions and always feel sick after food. i get a throb in my stomach. what could it be?

  • Writing problem...worried that my style is not contemporary...?

I like to write fiction but I am having doubts about my style. I prefer to read clasical literature to modern ficton because I enjoy the older language the lyrical quality of classic literature. However, I'm worried that this is a little too evident in my own writing, which therefore may seem archaic, even a little pretentious. Any suggestions how I can deal with this, either suggestions of modern writers who have adapted this poetic style and content, or of how I can make my writing feel more contemporary?

  • Psychology and psychotherapy in Australia?

Studying and practising psychology in Australia?

I am planning to do a postgraduate conversion course in psychology. My undergraduate degree was in English literature. I was wondering if this would be an acceptable route into psychology if I wished to pursue studies in Australia? Or if I continued studies here and became chartered according to the British standards, could I work in Australia? Alternatively, I was considering taking a two year course in psychotherapy. Any advice would be much appreciated

  • Might I have attention deficit disorder?

I find the websiktes confusing so I thought Id ask here to see if anyone knows first hand...

When I was a kid I did well at school, but my report cards always said things like "poor concentration" "easily distracted" and even "scatterbrain" was said...i was also treated for symptoms of ocd in my late teens although the doctor said it wasnt the classic case because i followed routines compulsively but for no real reason or fear such as contamination etc...

I'm not nineteen and moved back home for the summer. Im finding it frustrating to hear things like "hang up ypour clothes" or "put lids back on things", and I'm not being lazy, i just forget. I forget to switch off the oven all the time and no amount of reminding or reminding myself seems to work, and i have spent hundreds lately on fixing things because i am abnormally clumsy, and on losing things, my passport was the latest, and i misplace lots of little things all the time on a day to day basis.

I get on well with people but have difficulty in sustaining friendships on any real meaningful level, as I think i come across as ignoring people because I zone out a lot etc
