  • How can I find my ancestor?

My ancestor Nora Murphy I found a birth certificate for, she was born at 6 foundry st, Halifax, Yorkshire, to her mother Annie Murphy and unknown father in 1893. In the 1901 census Annie has vanished and Nora is living with her unmarried aunt Ellen Murphy. I've searched death and electoral records, marriage, baptism and travel. Cannot work out where Annie went. Nora was always told by Aunt Ellen that her mother went "back to Mayo, Ireland" to help family during the 'potato famine' which doesn't tally with the dates. I'm stumped and would be happy to search if only I knew where to! Any suggestions/help very appreciated.

  • Facebook group feed?

I've created and tested successfully a like box feed for a Facebook page, now I'm trying to do the same for a Facebook group and can't get it to work. Is it still allowed? Possible?

  • Help wanted with CSS?

I'm creating a site which is still in it's very early stages and have encountered two annoying problems that I just can't seem to fix no matter how hard I look (maybe too hard?).

The first is with the background repeat inside a div, (you can see for yourself here: http://elderlyresidentialcarehomekexborough.co.uk/... ) The white stripe across the bottom is the background of the white block above it and shouldn't be there.

My second frustration is with how the site loads in the Opera browser, in a window too small to accommodate the page it displays as it should, but in a full size window the whole content drops much lower than it should be. I've tried adding an opera only margin-top adjustment to the css and it just won't budge!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
