  • Best Breakup Album: Rumours by Fleetwood Mac?

    Would anyone care to disagree?

    Hell R&P

The album Rumours by Fleetwood Mac was made when the band was in intense relationship termoil, forcing each of the members to come up with some of the best material of their life.

The song "Dreams" contains the line "but listen carefully to the sound of your loneliness like a heartbeat drives you mad, in the stillness of remembering what you had and what you lost"

...which is basically a very eloquent way of saying f*** you...isn't that everything you've ever wanted to say to someone who's done you wrong?

Anybody have any breakup albums equivalent to the tragic Rumours?

  • Yoko brought her Walrus, there was Magic in the air...?

Do you know of any artists who changes their styles and were abandoned by their audiences?

Ricky Nelson, 50's rock and roller, tried his teenage idol hands at country, but was booed offstage at Madison Square Garden.

His song Garden Party resulted from that incident...anyone know of any other artists who had to deal with the fickle fan's ear?

  • R&P: What song would you *not* want to start playing when you enter a cemetery?

A little while ago, I was visiting a cemetery. I usually turn my car radio off when I first pull in, out of respect, but this time was different, I turned on the radio right when I pulled in. Led Zeppelin's "Your Time is Gonna Come" was playing, right at the part where it keeps repeating the title.

Yeah. If you don't think that was scary then you're crazy.

So, what song would you not want to encounter in a graveyard?

  • What are your thoughts on J.D. Salinger's "The Catcher in the Rye"?

David Bowie wanted to play Holden in an adaptation of the book. I just picked it up today and was wondering everyone's opinion on it.
