  • I don't understand marriage?

I'm currently in my first and probably last serious relationship (we've been together for well over a year.. had our rough spots but could not imagine being happier). The biggest problem aside from religious differences, is I don't understand marriage.

I'm already committed to her, and already consider other women off the table, as I've done from the start, will always be there for her, etc. I put her well-being before my own. What does marriage change? What's the point of it other than a legal thing? I really don't understand the point of marriage, and I feel bad because I know it is very important to her (she wants to run around in the big poofy dress).

Can anyone shed a dash of opinion on the matter and perhaps help me see it from a different perspective? Will add details if you have other questions

  • How green do I need to be?

Hello. The environment is important to me so I'm always cautious not to use unnecessary amounts of water, not to leave lights on, etc. (though power isn't an issue where I live, 100% of our electricity is renewable as it is generated by the dams/waterfalls). I also plan not to drive a car. Right now I'm 17 and still haven't gone in for my license... luckily where I live we have around 200-300 bus routes in the area (4 cities) and the Skytrain system (electric trains).

But I'm wondering how green I really need to be? If, for example, I had a car but only drove it enough to use maybe 1 tank of gas per 2 months. Would that be a low enough level of pollution that it's not contributing to gwarming? Basically... if EVERYONE in the world only drove like 25% as much as they do now, would the CO2 emissions be low enough that it wouldn't cause global warming?

    Sorry if I phrased stuff horribly... it's 1:20AM and I'm tired :P

  • Proper foreskin care? Dryness/stickiness underneath?

Hi, I'm having some general confusion with foreskin/glans care and have a bit of a dry/stickiness problem. The past week or so when I try to retract my foreskin it sticks to the head a bit, so I kind of have to pull back and then wait for it to peel off. The difference seems to be that I'm washing underneath now whereas I didn't often do so before (I don't use soaps and either don't dry it or just dab it dry slightly).

I'm not entirely sure the proper ways to keep my foreskin clean, lubricated and working as intended... I've read a lot of mixed messages. Some say to use soap, some say never use soap, some say dry it thoroughly, some say don't dry after cleaning.. yeah. I'm more inclined to side with the more natural approaches (no soap, no drying), since typically the human body does protect itself fairly well and produce its own ways to keep things shipshape.

One thing I've noticed is if I pinch my foreskin when I urinate briefly and let it balloon up, so to speak, it seems to remove a lot of the dry/stickiness.. is this the way humans were meant to keep it clean before we had more common knowledge and whatnot?

Please don't be scared to get all scientific about it.. the more specific you can be the better since I've read enough of just "Use soap" or "Dont use soap".. I need to know WHY so i can make an informed decision

  • I'm ALWAYS constipated?

My entire life I've had issues with constipation, though I thought that was originally due to not drinking much water, eating mostly processed food (corn dogs, KD, burritos, etc.).. but I've changed my diet now and get probably around 120% recommended daily fibre every day, 3-4L of water every day, and lots of vitamins from stuff like multigrain bread etc. I also try to keep sugar intake relatively low.

I am STILL constipated pretty much all the time. I never get the 'urge' to go (i just have to go and hope it'll work) and usually it's a rather large and hard stool even if it's only been a day or two since my last BM. Help? :(

I will add additional info to answer any extra details if you need
