An avid Sprint cup fan and a diehard Jr fan. Extremely loyal and proud to where the Jr colors and fly the Jr banner. Not a troll nor basher am I. Trolls belong under a bridge and bashers belong in the rubber room. Three cheers for our new Pres of Jr nation Lynn!!

  • Give your favorite driver a grade?

Junebug. I would have to give him a D right now. There is still time in the semester to improve so I won't give him a final grade yet but he certainly has a lot of work to do.

Do I believe he can improve? yes. Will he make the chase? not sure the final grade will depend on how he carrys himself good results or bad.

    Grade your driver...

How many and who do you think will finish the race tonight and where do you think they will finish. Provided they are not all taken out by some foolish move or accident/dnf...

  • How about those restart rules?

Will the Kyle stop and go be the only restart not allowed tonight? Or can the second place car still push the leader to the start? Or... will Carl be the leader of the pack of fools?

  • Has anyone seen Dale Jr's new paint scheme?

This weekend at the dega jr will be sporting a new paint scheme where just a small percentage of his fan base sent in their names to be placed on his car. It's a wrap, still amazes me how they do that, and pictures can be seen on his web site. I am praying that AMP is all we see in victory lane at the AMP 500.

  • Big teams, too many cars, level the field?

I was just sitting here thinking this. Of all the teams in NASCAR today only the top four made it to the chase with 3 cars each. Thinks thats about right. That means all the other teams out there running are just also ran teams. Most of them have either 3 cars, 2 or 1. Back in the day if your team had 2 cars you were lucky. This year more than before it seems the multi car teams have had an unfair advantage. I wonder what would happen if NASCAR adopted an F1 point of view? Two car max? What do yall think?

  • Could 43 drivers be wrong, along with the commentators?

I am sitting here watching the practice and happy hour and it seems that the guys running well the first stint are now wicked loose and the guys that were wicked loose in the first stint are now runnning well. No rear grip? Are we in for another Indy affair? New tires every 15 laps or so? You would think after all of last year and this year to date that they would get a handle on this new car and know what changes to make but it seems from all the brands that one minute you have it the next you don't. Great car to junk in one lap? The 18 screams and the 20 is so loose Smoke can't drive it? The 24 screams and the 48 and 88 looks like it's in an ice race? the 99 runs fast and sticks like glue but the 17 looks like a dirt track car? Kasey's 9 is soso but Elliotts 19 is on a rail? Just thoughts to ponder!

  • Why no penalties? Is NASCAR now showing who their real man is?

Had this been anyone else would there have been any penalties. To come up to someone after the race is over and hit them like the ole days of thunder or an ea sports game is very unsportsman like so I ask why no penalty? Perhaps it is one driver getting a by on all the random acts of immaturity out there, or maybe, just maybe NASCAR is showing us all who they favor....

Usually you would see the penalties fly over this post race incident but I think ratings are now becoming more important than anything else.

  • What was he thinking!?

As I sit here and watch Dale trying to race his way back to the front I am thinking. What was Tony thinking??????? Not only may he have lost the race for Jr (again) but also 2 points positions!!!!!! I haven't wanted to bash acrew cheif as I couldn't do the job but this seemed like a nobrainer here and now Jr is fighting to get back what Tony just took!!! Is it time to cut some family ties and realize it may be your crew cheif thats costing you?

  • Turning points, when did your driver cross that line?

For those of us that have been watching for decades not days. You have had favorite drivers before. Now you pull for someone else, who was, and now who is you favorite and why?

My first was Richard Petty. I was a boy then and had his matchbox car and STP stickers all over the place. Then when I was a bit older I saw this redheaded kid from GA run him down on a road course and win. I liked that kids attitude and open display of humility. I then had two drivers. An old timer repected by most and a quiet newcomer earning respect. "The King" retired and then Awesome Bill was in the groove. Late in his career this kid named Dale Earnhardt Jr was racing in late model and stepping into Busch. Bill was involved in a wreck with Jr's dad and broke his leg. The wreck was nasty and after Bill healed he just didn't seem to have that edge anymore. He had a championship. was the most popular driver year after year and had set the speed record but it appeared the hunger was gone. Jr was on his way up winning 2 Busch championships back to back! His dad was still the man to beat on Sunday, and knowing I was not a #3 fan but had tremendous respect for what he did, I thought his son would become that new blood NASCAR needed. His style of driving and personality closely matched my previous picks and so there you have it.

Dale is now at the age his father was when his father began his domination of the field. The level of competition is today far greater than it was in Sr's time, or "The Kings" time. I do not expect Dale to smash records or become the man in black. Just to race and represent his family and team and himself with class. He does that very well. Maybe in 10 years I will again be looking for another newbie. Until then I will support my driver, win, loose or draw.

  • Is this what the #5 team needs?

Is Mark Martin going to be the answer for the #5 Team?

Not since Terry Labonte has the 5 team been successful. Kyles record this year gives one the impression that it is not the driver. Casey Mears is no loser and is in fact a good driver but never seems to run up front. Mark Martin has always been a competitive racer and I love his style and class. With two previous champions (and maybe a third) by his side is Mark Martin what the 5 team needs to be on top? I think so myself but am interested in what other real fans have to say.

To qoute Mark Martin. "Any racer with a pulse would be nuts not to say yes to Rick Hendrick."

  • How many of you support your local tracks and drivers?

And if you do now is the time to give it and them a shout out! And do you think your favorite Sprint driver would give them a shot?

  • What does your driver do?

When your driver is not in a race car racing or practicing what does he or she do to give back? Jr gives huge support to the Oak Grove Military Academy, replacing all the windows with better ones at the cost of like 900 bucks each, getting all the equiptment for them to have a football team, etc. supports our troops, and does several appearances. Not to mention promotes and helps younger drivers move up the ladder to success.

I know most drivers pay it back/forward in one way or another. Just wonder if you know some of the things your driver does to do so. Maybe some wouldn't be haters if they knew what went on behind the scenes.

  • Is Kyle in over his head?

I am not a Kyle Busch fan, nor am I a hater. If my favorite driver were doing this I would ask the same question. (I scratched my head when he raced in a 24 hour race and caught the car on fire and got burned)

Is Kyle in over his head? I know he has talent and is a good driver but I wonder if trying to run all the races in all the series and be the leader in all of them is wearing him down. It seems he would do better to limit his out of sprint cup races and concentrate on the sprint cup.

It had to be exhausting to fly back and fourth to all these races to qualify this and practice that and fatigue plays a role in ones decision making. He may have just had a bad weekend but maybe he is spreading himself too thin trying to prove something he does not need to...

  • Best answer given? About Jr?

Jr has all ready hit the pinnacle of his carer... Who else believes Jr has reached the pinnicle of his career?

    This got best answer?

Sr. was just getting started at the same age Jr is now. Now I am not saying or comparing the two but come on! To say someone is washed up just because they haven't won in a while? Come on! he is 3rd in points! Wins will come too. Let us not forget the competition is today what it wasn't then. Give the guy a break people. What are you going to say when he wins the cup? That NASCAR gave it to him?

  • The interview with Jr. after Richmond?

When I listened to the interview with Jr after last nights race I was as disappointed as he was. What I did not hear was any threat made by him towards Klye. What I heard him say was they would all need security. I think Jr showed his class by holding his temper on and off the track. He certainly did not go crying into his hauler or leave the track.

  • What women want?

I know this has been asked a ton of times. Maybe because no one has the real answer is the reason it is always asked.

Why is it that women say they want a guy thats commited and kind, loving and gentle and faithful. Knows what he wants out of life and is secure, emotionally and finacially. When such a man stands right in front of them they do not see him. Yet let some stud without a brain walk by and they are all goo goo!

They may be unfaithful and mean, freeloading and even unemployed yet you women fall all over him while the good guys stand there thinking DUH?

You complain about how your man? treats you to these nice guys and yet you wouldn't give that nice guy a snowballs chance in hell. WHAT GIVES?
