I feel by looking it it that this is true, but can not seem to prove it
3 AnswersMathematics7 years agoHow can this graph be expressed?
I would have said that the graph was 2sin(x+30), but the answer is 2cos(x-60). Are these the same thing; if so would there be a reason the answer gives the cos answer?

1 AnswerYouTube7 years agoHow do i find further roots of a polynomial equation when i have figured out one?
I have the equation x^4 -3x^3 -x^2 -9x -12=0, and by using the nesting method (essentially trial and error), i identified one root to be -1. Is there a quicker way to find out the other real root, other than continuing with the trial and error?
4 AnswersMathematics7 years agoHow do i integrate 5/[3(x-1)] - 5/[3(x+2)], im not understanding one negative sign?
I would have thought it would have 5/3 ln(x-1) - 5/3 ln (x+2) but apparently the answer is actually 5/3 ln(1-x) - 5/3 ln (x+2). Why is it ln (1-x) and not ln (x-1), or are the answers just wrong? Many thanks.

I assumed that the D stood for dextrorotary, and thus the light would rotate in the same direction? Or is the +/- sign the key to the direction of rotation?

2 AnswersMathematics9 years agoCan someone explain what an elector is?
In the US elections, i read something about "Faithless electors", who are people who do not vote for who they pledged they would. What I don't understand is, what is an elector? I assumed you voted for the party you wanted, and the party with the most votes got the electoral college points.
