Best World Cup ever?
I think this World Cup coming will be great, I just cannot wait for the action to kick off! I do think a lot of teams will be contenders, Brazil, Spain, Germany and Argentina have a good chance of winning it but also Belgium and Colombia I think will be the dark horses.
Personally, I think 1970 was the best. Brazil side was amazing, and put England, Italy, West Germany and Uruguay into the mix...incredible. I wasn't alive then but looking back at it it looked like there were some top quality sides back then as well as that Brazilian team.

10 AnswersFIFA World Cup (TM)7 years agoDark horses of the 2014 World Cup, and why?
I personally think Belgium and Colombia are real dark horses. It's scary to think they've not qualified in recent years (Belgium last took part in 2002, Colombia in 1998) yet to think they have top teams on offer and potential contenders for the World Cup.
I think Belgium because they have a strong team, lots of depth in every position, and Eden Hazard can hit full potential in Brazil this summer. They can seriously achieve big things if players like Hazard (of course), Vincent Kompany, Thibaut Courtois and Marouane Fellaini play their socks off. Also, Colombia can succeed even if Falcao is out, again they have some top names and should at least get to the quarter-finals. We should see a few goals when we see Colombia play, they've got lots of attacking firepower.
Anyone else agree with me, or have another team that could be a potential dark horse?

3 AnswersElections7 years agoIs it rude to decline last-minute invitations?
I always seem to get invited to gatherings with friends at the last minute, either 24 hours before the event, or even on the day or hours before it. I prefer to arrange things a week before the event, rather than have to scrabble about and mess up my plans, and I'm not a fan of last minute invitations.
Most of the time, I always decline the invitations because I've got something to do, but I always feel really bad because of it. It is rude of me to decline last minute invitations, even when I don't have anything scheduled?
9 AnswersEtiquette7 years agoCould Mercedes potentially win every race if they keep up their pace?
The racing is a lot more exciting this year in my view, but I'm amazed at how fast Mercedes are, they seem to be 1-2s faster than the rest of the field, even the teams with Mercedes engines aren't as fast as Mercedes.
I'm enjoying seeing Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg battle for the lead, but could they potentially win every race this year? They've nearly had a clean sweep of maximum points from every race (aside Hamilton's retirement in Australia), taken every win, pole position, and nearly every fastest lap. Even the Red Bulls can't get close enough, could we see a repeat of the 1988 season when Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost dominated for McLaren, winning all but one race?
I'm enjoying the inter-team battles with Red Bull, Ferrari, Williams and Force India, but I have a feeling they won't win a race some time unless they do some significant upgrades to catch Mercedes. I think it will be another Mercedes victory in Monaco to be honest, and they have a realistic chance of winning all the races unless their rivals catch up.

If they really do exist, then why haven't former prisoners come forward? Doesn't make sense to me. Do they really exist or just some conspiracy theory?
