Is it okay if a girl asks my boyfriend to dinner?
We've been together for 9 months, known each other through friends for like 10 years...
What happened was that I was on his laptop and was going to check my facebook page, and so when I went to the site, his profile was already open so being sneaky, I decided to look into his Inbox. There were mostly message from me and other innocent things, but then there was a conversation where he asked a girl we both know about a job she recently applied for and she replied back a couple days later saying that it went well, she got the position (same position as him but different company) and then she asked if he would be able to find time to have dinner to catch up (they also went to the same college). Now I know the girl and all 3 of us are friends on Facebook and its obvious to people looking at his page, that he is in a relationship, it just does not seem appropriate to ask him to dinner. Lunch or coffee, okay.. but to know that my boyfriend took a girl out to dinner and paid for her is really upsetting to me. We have been having issues lately because I have a hard time trusting anyone, so it definately would not help if I confess that I tapped into his inbox. Should I be upset or say anything? He always tells me I dont talk to him and if he goes out with this girl and they have all this stuff in common, i'm afraid he will seek solace with her. Anytime he doesnt call me after work, I'm going to be thinking they're out having dinner and it makes my stomach turn. Am I over reacting?
