    In ancient Greece, many 'mathematicians' attempted to develop tools to square a circle (i.e. given a circle draw a square with the same area). Many philosophers became worried as they feared incommensurable numbers and intensely fought against irrational numbers when some Greeks began to develop tools to square a circle.   • Advanced Physics Problem Challenge?

    Me and some fellow physics students composed a question and wanted to know if it can be solved, or if it has no physical means of existing:

    Given the current in a wire, is it possible to measure the Pressure of the Electrons moving within it on the inner wall. What is the Pressure as a function of Current? Is this a physically viable concept?

    If you feel the need to consider the electrons Quantum Mechanically, it would be most interesting, but goes a little bit beyond the scope of the question.
