Is Yahoo blocking my questions asking if you've signed up for coverage under the ACA?
Three questions - none showing up. Seems a bit conspiratorial to me.
5 AnswersPolitics8 years agoHave you signed up for health coverage under the ACA?
What company did you sign up with? What is the plan cost, and how does the coverage and cost compare to any other plans you may have had in the past?
1 AnswerPolitics8 years agoShouldn't the Senate vote on the Continuing Resolution so they can see what's in it?
It worked for Obamacare.
14 AnswersPolitics8 years agoWhat would your response be if you saw an armed police officer at your child's school?
Based on the following report, I would like to hear what effect, if any, it would have on you if you noted that there was an armed police officer at your child's school:
14 AnswersPolitics8 years agoShouldn't the Senate have just passed a budget so there would be no need for a CR?
You do realize that the Senate's five years of refusal to do their job and pass a budget is the reason we even need a CR in the first place, right? So in that light, if the Democratically-controlled Senate would do their damned jobs, Obama wouldn't be lecturing the House about doing theirs. Ironic, isn't it?
5 AnswersPolitics8 years agoAre liberals aware that visiting a website in search of information doesn't equal signing up for something?
Keep seeing people saying that so many people signed up for Obamacare that the servers in several states crashed. Yet, even CNN can't find an Obamacare enrollee:
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/oct/3/cnn...
If visiting a website was the same as signing up for something, these porn sites would be making a fortune, with all the Anthony Weiners who would now have signed up for a membership by merely visiting the site.
Liberals, can you provide some links to actual ENROLEES in Obamacare for the week? I can provide several links saying that practically no one has signed up for it. One is posted above.
8 AnswersPolitics8 years agoHave you ever considered that posting your question on Y!A Politics negates the attempt to look clever?
Since all Y!A Politics is, in essence, is two tribes of poo-flinging monkeys having a poo fight about which monkeys are the zookeepers, attempts at sharp wit are negated by the very forum you post them in.
Do you think that your time could be spent doing something that was actually productive for your party?
10 AnswersPolitics8 years agoShould the U.S. Government contract with Amazon.com to provide healthcare?
Since Amazon is capable of operating a massive e-commerce site, and apparently, 3 years is not long enough for the Federal Government to implement a reasonably satisfactory site capable of handling a predictable level of traffic?
Of course, maybe they weren't prepared for the number of insurance companies that have dropped entire product lines, since Obama said if we had insurance now we could keep it. What a lie.
2 AnswersPolitics8 years agoDemocrats: Was Reid wrong to refuse to consider funding Obamacare?
The House sent a resolution that funded Obamacare, but eliminated the subsidies that essentially exempt Congress from Obamacare, and Reid refused to even consider it.
It's REID'S fault that the government shut down. He would rather shut down the entire government than have to actually participate in Obamacare like you and I do.
This entire shutdown is over the effects Obamacare would have had on about 540 people.
10 AnswersPolitics8 years agoDo Democrats support putting armed guards in schools, now that Obama supports it?
Now that President Obama is backing Wayne LaPierre's and the NRA's plan to put armed guards in schools, has your view as a Democrat evolved on this subject, or do you still favor making our schools "soft targets"?
Obama admin provides $45 million to put armed guards in schools:
5 AnswersPolitics8 years agoShould the U.S. convert its military to a technology-driven guerilla model?
For the price of a good aircraft carrier, you could buy a whole bunch of iPhones and coffee cans full of nails. We could contract with Russia when we needed an armored vehicle taken out, sort of like we do now for space payloads.
Assad uses chems again? We blow his hands off next time he opens his mailbox. Total cost of the operation would depend on what an old iPhone goes for on eBay that day.
4 AnswersPolitics8 years agoSimple Question: Why is Congress intent on exempting themselves from Obamacare if it is such a wonderful thing?
Now, *technically*, Congress is not exempt. However, they do get something no one else does: money to pay for the increased costs they'll face under Obamacare.
Wait, what? Increased costs? Obamacare is making healthcare more affordable, right?
http://www.nationalreview.com/article/355176/congr...
When David Vitter introduced an amendment to make sure that Congress had to be in the same boat as the rest of us, Harry Reid actually went so far as to threaten to pull the healthcare from anyone who voted for the bill. Wait, what? Is Harry Reid a servant of the People, or a despotic fascist?
http://thehill.com/blogs/floor-action/senate/32335...
In fact, Obamacare is so wonderful, that unions that once demanded it be effected now demand to be exempt:

So, if Obamacare is good, why do all the people who say it is good want to get out of it?
14 AnswersPolitics8 years agoHow hard do you think these guys are laughing right now?

It would sort of be like the Democrats having a website that people could donate through, only the money goes to the Republicans.
I've been in computer graphics since before Photoshop was released, and I deem the photo to be genuine. The article says "If the photo turns out to be real" but you heard it here first, folks - Sri says it's real. In fact, if it turns out that it is proven false, I'll accept that Obama's bir th cert ificate is real.
2 AnswersPolitics8 years agoShould we Yahoo! Answers Politics users start a petition at Change.org?
to get Yahoo to dump this purple abomination? I've managed to get the green site up tonight by switching back and forth between International and the U.S. sites, but wow - what an utter failure of a redesign.
It's like saying, "The walls in my new house look bare, so I should smear my own feces on them so they are no longer bare."
6 AnswersPolitics8 years agoMy wife and I are dressing as Trayvon and Zimmerman for Halloween. What other props?
should we use? I already have a crew cut. I'm carrying a big toy gun, and she's wearing a hoodie I made her that says "Skittles taste the sucking chest wound". She'll be carrying an iced tea.
What other things should I do to make it clear that I'm dressed as Zimmerman? I think that, when she is with me, it will be clear, but our Halloween parties are usually well attended and we will be separated part of the time I'm sure.
8 AnswersPolitics8 years agoWhen Republicans take the House and Senate next year, will Obamacare be repealed or just modified?
It's pretty clear that, with 76% of the population against Obamacare and the repeal having just passed the House, that Americans will put Republicans in charge in 2014.
When this comes to pass, what will the effect on Obamacare be? Do you predict a massive repeal of the entire suite of laws and rules, or will Republicans leave some parts intact? For instance, the massive cuts to Medicaid that are to pay for O-care - will those stay in effect even after the law itself is repealed?
1 AnswerPolitics8 years agoShould Yahoo be embarrassed when only 3 out of 10 questions I posted today even showed up?
Fly Yahoo Airlines - 3 out of 10 flights that take off land successfully!
Do you think my questions are failing the crumb test, or are the servers just wonky today?
1 AnswerPolitics8 years agoWhy do Liberals blame the jobless for unemployment, but not the insane for mass shootings?
If you're unemployed, it isn't because Obama is the 43rd worst President in American History, it is because you're lazy. Sounds like Liberals believe in cutting through all the excuses and relying on personal accountability, doesn't it?
But wait - if someone shoots a bunch of people, they blame the gun, not the shooter. Well, help me out here Liberals - at what point exactly does personal responsibility stop coming into play, and inanimate objects become the responsible parties?
2 AnswersPolitics8 years agoDo things need to get worse before they can get better in the U.S.?
The people who think they're poor because all they have is the old iPhone 5, only have a 32" flatscreen and not a 60", or are forced to play COD on a Wii - do they need a taste of true poverty before they can be thankful for what they have, and would a better attitude lead to a better life?
The people who think that it makes sense to be leveraged to the hilt because your image demands you drive an S-class, who spends so much on themselves that there is nothing left over to use to fix the genuine social problems in the world, who sucks all the meat from the bone then refuses to share the marrow - do they need to experience poverty to realize what they could have accomplished with their resources if they hadn't been self-absorbed?
Would we be better off if we had nothing for a generation?
