  • Horse biting and pinning ears?

I recently bought a 15 year old mare at an auction for my 8 year old. I did speak and still speak to the seller. The mare has awesome foundation lines but had no idea when I bought her until I got her papers. Now that I have owned this mare for several weeks I have noticed that she pins her ears a lot and was told by the previous owner that the mare has done this since they have owned her also you see the whites in her eyes but the eye part is just part of her genetic make up. To me as a horse owner, pinned ears is a sign of aggression but until last night didn't believe she had a mean bone in her body. Well she bit me last night and it was an intentional bite to the chest. I was shocked at first and I know the 3 second rule and moved her off from her grain because that is all I had time for. Some people don't mess with their horses when they are eating and I agree that it's their personal time, however, there are times when you need to look them over when they are eating. I was standing in front of the mare when she bit and maybe that was an aggressive posture for her, but I have done this before, however I didn't try to touch her.

I am wanting more insight regarding this mares behavior. I've owned BLM Mustangs and other horses and have never encountered biting or the constant ear pinning. Like i've stated, I have an 8 year old daughter who I purchased this mare for and she loves this horse. I want them to have a long wonderful and healthy partnership. Selling this mare is not an option.

Thank You in advanced for any advice.

  • what are the requirement for aggrivated assult and battery charges in Wyoming?

My son was invited to a house and then was jumped by 5 to 6 people when he was trying to leave. He was able to make it outside but then pushed down the steps where the attackers proceeded to kick his face and head while he was on the ground. My son required stitches to sew his lip back together. When I told the police that I was hoping for aggravated assault and battery charges along with felonious restraint. I was told that the DA's office wouldnt charge aggravated assault because my son didnt suffer broken bones. I also spoke to the homeowner where this occurred and found out the kids are renters. I believe the homeowner is still responsible for medical bills since it happened on his property and he had knowledge of the renters having parties. Any help in all matters will be helpful. Please and thank you.

  • medical malpractice and settlement possible gag order?

16 years ago my son and I were awarded a nice settlement (mainly my son due to his injuries) from a medical malpractice lawsuit. If I recall correctly I was told that I could never speak of our settlement and the doctor, ect. Several years back I tried to get documentation of our cases from the Wy courts and was told that our attorneys had to request them. I wanted these records so I could sue my sons father for half of the expenses that our estates paid towards medical bill of my sons birth. Well I never followed through.

7 years ago my son went to live with his father, non disputed with me and we were to share joint custody. We are now in litigation for custody and financial reimbursement for medical ect. Well I received a subpoena and not through my attorney requesting mine and my settlement and monetary gain. Granted I can call the attorneys on Monday and figure this out, however, I go to court on Wed and was just hoping for a few answers.

What options do I have if I can not get these records? Since my sons father has requested these documents to be produced in court, now can I drop the bomb of estate reimbursement.

The medical malpractice suit is in Wy and custody litigation is in Co.

One last thing, am I correct by thinking that if my sons fathers requesting these settlement documents to be produced, the attorney himself has to subpoena these himself and not go through me? Mind you, my sons father was not nor was ever involved in the malpractice lawsuit.

    Panicked and confused.

  • 2002 Buick Rendezvous with onstar please help!!!?

On 4/6/10 I was rear ended which totaled my car. So we began looking for a replacement car. I fell in love and recently purchased a loaded 2002 Buick Rendezvous and I love it. The problem that I have is that before we bought the car the salesman said it had onstar. Just being in an accident That was a big feature that had me sold on the car. When I had my accident my cell phone went flying and it was my son that was in the car with me that got me my cell phone to call for assistance. I had to remain still just being 6 weeks post op to neck surgery. Anyway, I went home and put in the vin on the onstar site and it said it didn't have the capability. The next day I went back to the dealership (ford) and shared what I learned with the salesman. Not having any knowledge about onstar and how it works, ect. The salesman got into the car and pushed the onstar button and we got the greeting and he said see it works.

Well we bought the car and I love it! The problem is the onstar does not work and we can not even get a new relay for digital because it's a 2002 and at that time onstar was analog.

Any help, suggestions, legal advice, would greatly be apprieciated.

  • Is there a chance of relocating a nest?

I have this Robin who decided to build a nest under the awning of my front door. Every time we go out it scares her and she flys away. I don't expect her to be friendly and to be a pet to eat out my hands either. The concern I have is after she lays her eggs and they hatch. I've heard of people being attacked by Ariel assault to the invaders of their territory.

I would like very much to relocate her nest but is that the right thing to do?

Any advice would help. Thank You in advance

  • lawmakers bring in National Guard ?

I understand that Chicago is having a very hard time with crime and violence. I think it's going to cause a lot of problems if the National Guard is brought in. I would 100% agree that if our soldiers are fired upon they have every right to fight back. Not everyone will agree with me and I understand that. However, what's to be the outcome when a 17 yr. old shoots and kills our service member and the 17 year old is killed by return fire?

    What is your opinion?

  • Do you have the time to remember?

"You cannot qualify war in harsher terms than I will. War is cruelty, and you cannot refine it; and those who brought war into our country deserve all the curses and maledictions a people can pour out. I know I had no hand in making this war, and I know I will make more sacrifices to-day than any of you to secure peace." "War is Hell" General William Tecumseh Sherman

The War in Afghanistan is an ongoing coalition conflict which began on October 7, 2001. Operation Enduring Freedom" is the official name used by the U.S. Government.

War has touched us all. Please take a moment and add your fallen soldier and/or your fallen friends.

They may be gone but are NOT forgotten...

The soldier stood and faced God, Which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shining, Just as brightly as his brass."Step forward now, soldier, How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek? To My Church have you been true?" The soldier squared his shoulders and said, "No, Lord, I guess I ain't. Because those of us who carry guns, Can't always be a saint. I've had to work most Sundays, And at times my talk was tough. And sometimes I've been violent, Because the world is awfully rough. But, I never took a penny, That wasn't mine to keep... Though I worked a lot of overtime, When the bills got just too steep. And I never passed a cry for help, Though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God, forgive me, I've wept unmanly tears.I know I don't deserve a place, Among the people here. They never wanted me around, Except to calm their fears If you've a place for me here, Lord, It needn't be so grand. I never expected or had too much, But if you don't, I'll understand. There was a silence all around the throne, Where the saints had often trod. As the soldier waited quietly, For the judgment of his God. "Step forward now, you soldier, You've borne your burdens well. Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets, You've done your time in Hell." Author Unknown

  • Insurance Claim Question?

I was rear ended recently and the other drivers insurance co sent out their adjuster. I was told that my car was a total loss. I had a 94 Buick Park Avenue with 148K miles. I got a call from the person who appraised the value of my car and was told that my car was worth $2,200.00 and another $300.00 for what it would have cost me for a rental, totaling $2561. and some change. I did some looking around and found in the auto trader that I can get the same car selling for $2,995 with 154,605 miles.

The question I have is do I have to except their offer of $2,200? Also, if I except this offer is this separate from the medical side of my claim?

    Thank You in advanced.

  • Air Force to let go 5,000?

I know the Air Force has changed a lot of policies in the last two months. One of those is the High Year of Tenure. Last week a letter came down that the Air Force is resizing and letting go 5000 Service Men and Women and they all are officers. A few yew years back they the Air Force cut loose a lot of low grade Service Members even Academy Graduates. Low grade, I mean 1st Lieutenants to Captains. Plus the Air Force is closing some of their MOS'S and combining them with other MOS's, well in the missile field they are.

To me this is unnecessary spending, to invest in our Officers just to let them go. I mean it's not cheap to send one officer to the Air Force Academy.

    My questions are:

Has anyone here been let go that can qualify for a GS15 on this site and how is this cut going to effect you?

Why is the Air Force letting go experienced NCO's and Officers?

How do you think these cuts are going to impact the government and people in the civilian vector?

Do these cuts fall under presidential order or congressional order.

Are these cut happening in the other branches besides the Air Force?

Thank you in advance and Thank You to all who have served.
