Physics help?? Friction Drag Acceleration problem?
A contestant in a winter games event pushes a 36.0 kg block of ice across a frozen lake as shown in the figure below. The coefficient of static friction is 0.1 and the coefficient of kinetic friction is 0.03. (Assume θ = 21°.)
What is its acceleration (in m/s2) once it starts to move, if that force is maintained?
The first part asked to calculate minimum force in N to get the block moving, which I found to be 39.21 N, which is correct. I can t figure out how to find acceleration.
Please include the formula (and an explanation would be great!)
