I have been kind of avoiding my sister (she lives in another state) because I am mad and extremely disappointed and just done with her. Here is the situation. My grandma (R.I.P.) died last February from cancer. She was diagnosed about 2 years before she passed and was given two years to live maximum. My parents and us kids live in a completely different state and drove 12-13 hours to go visit her as much as we could. In the last 2 years she was alive we drove down there 6-7 times. We spent Christmas New Years and thanksgivings with her. My sister on the other hand went to see her 2 times in two years!! She lived about an hour away from here and only took the time to see her twice! Now my aunt on my "fathers"(hes not in my life) side of the family has cancer also and she does anything for her. Whenever it comes to that side of our family she does everything for them but when it comes to my moms side she doesn't do anything! Doesn't visit even though they live between an hour or 2 from where she lives. Doesn't call them nothing. She doesn't even call my mom unless she needs money. She didn't even call her for her birthday! The only reason she does text or call is if she's has nothing else to do or she needs something and I wont let my mom my papi(the man I call dad) or my family be walked all over like a door mat. Im sick and tired of all this so I have been kind of avoiding here. She messaged me on facebook for my new cell number and I told her I didn't know it that I had to learn it. She writes occasional comments on my pics and I barely comment back. So do I have a right to be mad or am I over reacting? Thanks for your advice!

My dad wants to get my mom a computer for christmas. It has to be pink and needs to be under 400. I can't seem to find a pink one in that range except a net book. I'm not sure exactly what the difference is between a net book and notebook. What's the difference? What does a notebook have that a net book doesn't and vice a versa?Thank in advance!

My parents are calling it quits. Technically my dad isn't my biological dad but he is the only real parent I've had. Not even my mom has been a real parent. I'm not a minor so I can choose for myself but I don't know what to do. If my dad leaves he probably wont come back. My mom has jealousy issues, self image issues, so many issues I can't even explain them. She even stayed with a man, before she met the man I call dad, who was abusing us and she knew he was abusing us. My dad makes mistakes and I know no one is perfect but with out him the man who abused us wouldn't be in jail. We wouldn't have the life we have now. So I want to go with my dad but I have 3 younger siblings that I don't want to leave behind. They have been my life for the past 5 years. I practically raised my youngest sister. She even told me that if my other sister and I left she would want to leave my mom and come with us. This coming from an 8 year old. I just don't know what to do because if I leave I will be leaving behind my siblings until I can figure out how to get custody of them. But if I don't leave once my dad officially leaves my mom will kick me out. What would you do if you were in my situation? Thanks in advance.

My best friend/sister of almost 10 years just found out today that her unborn baby is going to have to go into surgery right after shes born because she has some type of heart defect. Her baby is my god daughter so I am going to be there for the birth. We live 2 states away from each other so I cant be there for her to have my shoulder to cry on or be able to be there to give her a hug. So I was wondering is it ok for me to send her a card? I'm debating because I don't want to send her a card and make her think about it more and make her more sad but I want her to know that I am there for her, So is it ok to send a sympathy card or should I just hold off sending one till later? I don't want so much as a sympathy card I just want her to know I am there for her. Thanks in advance for your help!

I am 21 years old and my 15 year old brother thinks hes "too old to go trick or treating". I also have 2 sisters ages 18 and 8 who are both go trick or treating. My 18 year old sister is dressing up and everything. I went trick or treating till last year because of my 18 year old sister and didnt plan on doing it this year because my brother was going to go with my sisters. Now hes saying he doesnt want too so I said I would go but my friends are like are you seriously going. Is it weird that I'm going? I mean halloween is all about dressing up and having fun. And I get to spend time with my two sisters. How old were you when you stopped trick or treating?

I am going to be the godmother of my bestfriends first baby.She isnt due till march 22nd but I'm not sure if it would be weird if I sent a gift for the baby for christmas since it wont be born yet. Should I just wait till the baby shower or go ahead and send one for xmas and the baby shower? What would you do? I am sooooo excited so maybe that is why I want to send gifts already LOL! I am trying to look up places that sell canopies for trucks but there is a specific one I want. It is flat and is basically like a lid for the bed of your truck. It covers the whole back so it is like a canopy but isn't. Sounds weird but do you know what it is called? It has a specific name but I don't know what it is. Thanks in advance!

I love my mom to death but she never stands up for herself or when she does stand up for herself she stands up for things that don't matter. Here is the situation. My grandma, may she rest in peace, passed away in March. All of her estate went into the hands of my aunt and my mom. Well my aunt took over everything and made the decisions. I asked my mom why aren't you making any decisions and she said because it was easier for my aunt to do it. I said ok because my aunt only has two kids and my mom has 4 so its easier for her. Well the house is finally sold and now that it's sold my aunt is saying for my mom to put her half of the money into an account for my grandpa. But the account will be in my aunts name and she will give my grandpa the money.

I'm sorry but that right there is saying that she is going to use the money for herself. Before she even brought this making an account up she was telling my mom that she was using her money to pay for the debt that she is in which is a big chunk of the money. I think that she is jealous cause my mom is saving most of it and using the rest for a vacation for our family. I don't know how to tell my mom to wake up and see what my aunt is doing. Instead of standing up and saying its my money she is trying to skirt around the issue. My aunt is very head strong and I know if my mom said I want the money my aunt would say oh ok i can't send it and would take an extremly long time to send it but its not my aunts decision. I just don't know how to tell my mom to stand up for herself. She never stands up for herself against my aunt and I just don't know what to do. Have you ever been in a situation like this? What did you do or what should I do? Sorry its a lot to read.

I have been wanting to change my last name for awhile now. My "father" has never really been a father to me so I want to change my last name to my step dad's last name. He has been more a father to me in the 10 years that I have known him then my "biological' father has in my whole 21 years. So I want to know what do I need to change it? I have one of the 1st ipods that was made so its an older version. It says I can only put 120 songs on it so I want to pick the ones I want. I have almost 200 songs on my computer. I pick the songs I want but when I plug my ipod in it just downloads random songs. How do I choose the ones I want and put them on my ipod? Do I have to delete the ones I dont want? Please help! What makes a girl more attractive to you? Physically and I don't know how you would say it but I guess what makes them more attractive on the inside? Is it just about the looks or is it also their personality the way the carry themselves etc make them attractive. I'm wondering because I see guys staring at my friends all the time but I just kind of float into the background. I'm not as pretty as my friends but I do get compliments on my eyes and smile and my funky personality but I only get them from guy friend.Not guys who are interested in me. Could it be because my personality makes me more like one of the guys? I am girly but I'm more down to earth then some of my friends. I would rather spend my time outside at the beach or out riding a quad. I think it is ridiculous! They are legalizing racism and discrimination.I agree with deporting people who are bringing drugs or guns or the ones who are stealing murdering etc. but they are deporting people who came her to better their lives. Exactly like President Calderon(Mexican President) said he is trying to better his country so that the Mexican people have a reason to stay. They come to America for opportunities. If you really think about it they are just like the immigrants who came here in the 1800's and 1900's. They were leaving their country to find a better place, a place filled with opportunities, a place that they would not be prosecuted for their religion. Hispanic people come here foe the same reasons. To better their lives and to get away from the different dangers in their country.My parents are immigrants so I know the hardships they went through in their countries (Portugal and Mexico). We all deserve a chance to better our lives. Even President Obama says that this law is ridiculous and is against it. So what do you think?

It says something about how this guy that includes him is a good role model. Not in those exact words but something like that. My sister doesn't want us to throw her a graduation party so I want to get her little extra things that she can keep as a reminder. I know that one of the most common gifts are flowers and balloons but what type of flowers? I was thinking of getting balloons and flowers but is there any other little things we can give her? This is a really important/special occasion because she is the 2nd person to graduate in our family.
