Like I am going to tell you.

  • is not the earth a self balancing mechanism?

I've come to a sudden epiphany after watching very many environmental documentaries. although the consumption of fuel sources, water, etc. is way over top, the unbalance comes from the central source of demand. why is our demand high than our supply? not only because we people in general consume more, but because there are more people than there ever were. Human overpopulation is leading to our partial self destruction. you can bet that eventually it will come to a point where there simply won't be enough, in which the earth will self balance itself and there simply won't be that many people anymore, letting us do the same thing again. Roman Empire, Mayan Empire, etc all went through the same thing...We're next.

i know this isn't really much of a question, but feel free to discuss.

  • Should I run a marathon at 16?

currently I am 14. i plan on running half a marathon in may, and I'm pretty positive I could do it as I've already run about 11 miles (though I stopped during traffic lights).

the minimum age for a marathon is 16, should i do it? moreover, does it interfere with school, etc

    what about health implications?

  • what kind of investments can a teenager make?

lets just say my grandparents got me real hyped about investing last October and I have been building my capital (these snowstorms are great opportunities) since then. I have got a couple hundred to start. I am mostly interested in stocks and real estate, so anything close to that is helpful. I am under 16, so unless I do things in my parents name, I can't sign contracts and such.

  • How can I get a more israeli accent?

I was born in Netanya but only lived in israel until I was two, so I basically had no instruction in Hebrew until I was seven. I currently am advanced in Hebrew, but not fluent, but I notice that when I went to israel this year (several times actually) people could notice that I spoke Hebrew with an accent. I know that I might have a slight one, but i don't think its as bad as my non-israeli side of the family who speak hebrew but weren't raised in it.

  • DO YOU believe there can be a palestinian state?

I believe there can be as long as they have a stable government and don't shoot rockets into Israel. Sure its the holy land for jews but unfortunately, we can't use religion as an excuse. Perhaps the first palestinian "materialized" in the 60's out of nowhere, but 40 years is long enough for a body of people to become a country.1736, the people in english settlements thought of themselves english, not american. guess what happened 40 years later? I believe the wall was rightfully built, but it probably wasn't too smart to build on the west bank.

  • DO you agree that this is true?

if palestinians were to put down their weapons, there would be no more war. If israeli's were to put down there weapons, there would be no more israel. try to see this in my perspective.

  • Will there be peace in the middle east?

All of us think the other side is full of heartless barbarians.Have we all forgotten that we are all human and that we all want is freedom and happiness. Maybe if we stop insulting eachother we can actually discuss something to help our cause. Perhaps if we start with the children, we will reach there. Terrorists, whether israeli or palestinian, are just misunderstood people who have been turned the wrong way. Put yourself in the other sides shoes, and ask yourself, How would you feel?

  • Who agrees with me on my opinion of israel?

First of all, I don't want to hear all the gorey or stupid stories of israeli's or palestines dying. Second of all, if jews shouldn't be in israel, where should they be? antarctica or something? We've spent too much time in exile to give it up now. If you think there is some kind of muslim occupation, well, just look at moracco and then look way over to pakistan. hmmmm, I wonder who lives between there? if muslim land was a house, israel would be a closet. If you think we are not offering them anything, well, we did. And they said no. when we came out of gaza, who started shooting rockets? and who voted for hamas? the people. They brought it upon themselves.Everyone, agree so far, right? I don't want to be in war more than you do. And if you are still not convinced, I go by the phrase "all is fair in love and war." Who started the war? If you say israel, go back to question 1. If you think israeli soldiers are "child killers" I could say the same about islamic terrorists or whatever you want to call them. Did I ever complain? I am proud that my brother is an israeli soldier. About the state of israel, we didn't take it. The U.N. gave it to us. If you think you have found some loophole there, then scream it out. I'll be happy to answer.

  • Who agrees with me on this?

Can someone tell me why everyone in this section is bickering? I understand that Israeli's AND arabs have done horrible things to each other in the past. Maybe some more then others but that isn't important. What is important is that we prevent on both sides from letting this happen in the future. All this bickering isn't going to help peace in the middle east. It's like 5 year olds "he got the bigger cookie mommy!" is how it sounds like except it's over land. I think both governments should talk face to face and shouldn't say "but he killed thousands of my people and he's a dirty lier." They should work on an agreement that works for both sides. In my opinion Israel should keep it's current borders, give up gaza and it shall remain like this peacfully. I understand that some muslims want jerusalem but think about it. Jerusalem is the holiest city for the jews but third holiest for muslims. If arabs have jerusalem then what do isaeli's have? Any other solutions suggested?

Oh, and in case you're wondering I'm an Israeli jew.
