Lexapro vs Celexa?
I had a hysterectomy in Feb 2015 and in Nov the same year I saw my gyno for my yearly. After talking for a bit he put me on Lexapro 10 mg. I felt great for a month or so until I started having RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome). Some nights it would be so bad that I wouldn't sleep at all. After my second day of no sleep almost 3 weeks ago, I went to see my gyno. I told him my issues and he said he's never had anyone complain of RLS as a side effect.
After talking to him for about 10-15 mins, he believed me. But then I was on my second day of no sleep. He wrote me a prescription for Celexa 20 mg to see if it agreed with my body better. In my third week on Celexa, I'm just now starting to feel a difference in how I feel about everything. Much better than the past three weeks. I have had no RLS issues since I've stopped the Lexapro. The only side effects from taking Celexa are dry mouth, hot flashes, and headaches.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has had the same side effects from either the Lexapro or the Celexa?? I also just like to know others opinions on these meds since I'm still new to them. Thank you to whomever replies.. :)
