  • Question for Liondancer...?

Did you study with the Chen family in China? Just curious; You seem pretty knowledgable about Chinese martial arts, and I saw you post some videos of a Chen family member. If so, how was it? I'm part of George Xu's lineage, but every now and then I toy with the idea of touring China for a year and seeing some of the other high level martial artists like Chen Xiaowing.

  • Your thoughts on firearms?

Do you train firearms as part of your martial discipline? Do you conceal carry, or keep firearms for home defense? Have you blended firearms at all with what you've trained in martial arts?

  • Is the decaying state of California's economy...?

... proof enough that liberal policies do not lead to wealth?

California has the MOST welfare recipients of any state, the most food stamp recipients of any state, and has been ranked as the worst state to do business in for seven (eight?) years in a row. California is marked by high taxes, (especially property taxes) a plethora of business and labor laws, and restrictions on just about everything from firearms to off-roading vehicles. Can we use this example to nip the debate on liberal economic policies in the bud? Three cities going bankrupt, massive debt, poor employment oppurtunities; there's not a lot that's good to say about the state of California right now.

  • Ron Paul doesn't seem so crazy now, does he?

    http://townhall.com/tipsheet/helenwhalen%20cohen/2...

"The people that want big fences and guns, sure, we could secure the border; A barbed wire fence with machine guns, that would do the trick. I don’t believe that is what America is all about... Every time you think about the fence, think about the fences being used against us, keeping us in." - Ron Paul

When do they calculate my taxes? If I leave halfway through this year, am I paid off, or do they count the rest of the year against me?

Do you guys see where this can go?

  • MSNBC actually fair and balanced?

I was watching Mad Money, and the Kudlow Report came on right after with a section on Obama threatening to veto the Keystone pipeline. The show actually presented the arguments of both sides without descending into shouting matches, but was overall critical of Obama for threatening to veto this and other measures coming from Congress that would stimulate the economy and help drive down gas prices. I was surprised to see this on MSNBC. It seems like their economic focused shows are actually pretty non-partisan in their presentation of politics.

Have I just been missing this? My idea of MSNBC before this was Rachel Maddow, and I'd rather drive nails into my head than spend five seconds watching her.

  • Do you research views you're opposed to?

It seems like modern politics is more a knee jerk reaction to party affiliation than any kind of substantive debate on policies and laws. How much research do you do into why people with opposed views think differently or how systems like economies or governments work? Where do you get the information from?

  • Do democrat's like Obama's foreign policy?

Here's what I don't get; Obama got us involved in Libya without a formal declaration of war, has continued the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, kowtows to foreign leaders, (the famous bows to the Saudi kings and the Japanese emperor) and took Arizona to the UN Human Rights Council, which is staffed by such humanitarian all-stars as China and North Korea. Do democrats really approve of these foreign policy choices? I can understand they might disagree with Arizona's stance on immigration, but do they really agree with taking the matter to a foreign power for review?

I was thinking about it and I'm curious. It seems to me Obama's foreign policy is, by and large, out of whack with any kind of American norm. Why are the people who protested Iraq and Afghanistan not protesting Libya?

p.s. I'm an independent Constitutionalist. I think a lot of these questions could be applied to either party, but that's not relevant to the question.
