  • What if an Air Bender Married a Water Bender and Had Kids. (Avatar: The Last Air Bender)?

What if two people from different bending classes, whether it be Air/Water or whatever had a kid? Would they have the potential to bend both Air and Water or would they just end up with a genetic predisposition to one or the other?

Same goes for what if you had a character that was 1 quarter Earth/Air/Water/Fire bender?

  • Is this correct? Quadraic Inequalities Question?

A quadratic inequality that has a solution set of (a, b) would be one in which a and b are not part of the set. A quadratic inequality with a solution set of [a, b] would include both a and b.

A solution set of (-∞, a) U (b, ∞) would be found in a quadratic inequality in which -∞ to ∞ are excluded, as well as a and b.

A solution set of (-∞, a] U [b, ∞) would be found in a quadratic inequality in which -∞ to a are excluded and a to b are included and b to ∞ are excluded.

Under what circumstances would the solution set be of the form (-8,a )U (b,8) or (-8,a ] U [b,8) ?

Under what circumstances would a quadratic inequality have an empty solution set?

and could someone tell me what ( ) [ ] ( ] the different brackets indicate?

  • Math Question?

Use what you know about polynomial functions to write an equation of a function that has the following characteristics :

It crosses the x-axis at -4 and 0 and

it touches the x-axis and turns at 3.

    It lies above the x-axis

    between 0 and 3.

Is this the ONLY function that has these characteristics ? Why or why not ?

Add that fact that the graph passes through the point (2, 36). What is the

specific function, and is this unique ?

  • Is this correct?

    Question: why does the inequality -1/2 x + 1 > | x – 5 | have no solution?

    My answer:

the inequality -1/2 x + 1 > | x – 5 | because no number can make the inequality true. This is because only a negative value on the right side of the equation could make it true but since it is an absolute it can not be a negative number.
