  • where can i get a simple, affordable, custom pool cue?

im looking for a girly pink pool cue, i like the blaze brand one, but way to expensive for my taste. also, i really like the rage rg88 that found with the skulls on it. but was looking for something sort of exactly like that, but with stars. is there anywhere online i can go to get a custom one that's not hundreds of dollars? i don't need anything real fancy seeing as i play recreationally and im just learning. just something plain and simple, but pink and with stars

im looking for something pink because i plan to restore an old pool table to pink and white, and i wanted to match.

  • Is it too late to learn to be a dancer?

I've always has a special love for dancing. Love any movie that has to do with dancing avid so you think you can dance watcher. But unfortunally I wasn't born with that gift. No rythem  whatsoever to even go to a party and dance.

Is it even possable to start now ( at 21) to take dance lessons and actually learn to be good at it?  I'm not talking professional or nothing, bu I don't wanna set myself up for known failure.

Is dancing just one of hose things you have to be good at and can't really "learn" (like singing)?

  • are there any bluetooth ipod docks?

im looking for an ipod dock for my ipod touch that has bluetooth so i can use my ipod itself as the remote while listening to music through the speakers but is still able to dock to charge at night, i would like it to have a clock and alarm but still in a decent price range and not ridiculously expensive. i know there has to be something out there that's not a 600 dollar boise dock.

  • will this charger work for ipod touch?

im saving up to buy a new ipod touch and ive heard bad stuff about 3rd party usb chargers and messing up your ipod.

i currently have a usb charger that came with a mini digital photo frame that i got for christmas last year

the back of this usb charger says:

    100-240v~

    50/60Hz 0.2A Max

    5.0v - 500mA

will this work? i really dont want to spend 30 dollars on a charger if i have one that works, and the same, i dont wanna use something and risk harm to a very expensive electronic.

  • is there a dimmer switch that can control two lights simultaneously and/or separately?

i want to be able to control two separate lights on different sides of the same room with one remote controlled dimmer switch. is it possible to be able to either control one or the other, or both at the same time?

like have one light off, and one on, or one light fully on, and one dimmed or be able to have both at the same settings?

i want to be able to program it with a harmony remote (which is why i rather have one unit)... i heard the lutron brand works well with them

  • Coffee Table Centerpiece Help?

I need help with a coffee table centerpiece idea. The room is pink with white furniture (the couch and the coffee table are both white). I want to use those origami wishing stars (google it) in various pink papers with some orange and a few greens. i also would like to use candles somehow.

the room is a very casual room so i don't want too much or too fancy to be overkill.

i was also considering using Gerber daises in coordinating colors, but i don't know

any ideas using anything would be helpful, but it has to incorporate the stars.

  • room color question...need help!?

Ok, so I’m decorating a room that’s sort of a multi-purpose “get away” room for me. One half will have a desk and wall storage for my office/craft area the other half is more of a lounge area with a couch, coffee table, TV (like a small living room). It’s currently a completely empty room and I’m just working on overall design.

As my design inspiration I’m using a picture of pink Frangipani Flowers (the photo that comes with the windows vista sample pictures). I am going to blow up the picture and put it above the couch as the focal design point of the room. For decorating I want to use the colors from the photo such as pinks, oranges, and greens. For the furniture I’m using white, a white couch, white desk and shelves, and maybe a white coffee table (with a little color, not real sure on that). To bring in the color I wanted to use decoration, like colorful pillows on the couch, colorful little knick-knacks to tie in the color.

My dilemma is on what color to paint the walls, I don’t want to leave them white because I believe rooms should have at least some color even if its beige. I was thinking a light pink, but I don’t want it to look like a Barbie, or a little girl’s room. Then I was thinking maybe a very pale pink, but I was worried it would be too light and almost be like white…. Then I was thinking maybe a light or pale green, with all other decorations being pink and orange. I saw a picture on hgtv.com of an orange room with white furniture that I liked because it really made all the white “pop”

My problem is white any color I don’t want it so light that its close to being white, but don’t want too bold of a pink because I want to be able to live with it, or I don’t want a pink to turn into a child’s Barbie themed room. I’ve looked on the net for pictures of pink living rooms and it can be pulled off I’m just not sure how to do it myself.

I’m open to any ideas or opinions you may have using those colors or any other ones (as long as it goes with the artwork)

  • trackpad/touchpad works, but does not show up in settings, what do i do?

i just recently got my computer back from staples because there was something wrong with it and i had them do a full system restore. so im trying to set everything to the way that i like it and i want to make it so that my trackpad does not click when i touch it and change the sensistivity. but for some reason, when i go to control panel, then devices, and then the mouse, the track pad itself does not show up, it says there's a working mouse there, but theres no way to change my trackpad settings, but its working perfectly fine, why is it doing this and what can i do? also i just updated it to vista myself just now, but before i did, i still had the same problem

  • has anybody ever used metallic/chrome spray paint?

so im fixing this old steamer trunk and i plan on repainting it, the problem is that its has gold hardwaree (the lock, the corners, etc.)

My original design for the box was to paint it pink, with darker pink trim, and add silver stars.

my delima is that im not sure that silver stars would look right with the gold metal thats already on the box and i saw some metallic/chrome like spray paint at home depot and i was wondering would that be good to paint over with or would painting it look too "fake"?

and if i should use it, do i have to prime or anything first?

  • can you paint vinyl with latex paint?

i have a black footlocker type trunk that i want to paint over and decorate. i was going to use a behr brand paint (from the disney series of paints) to paint over it but i wasn't sure if that paint would stick(and not eventually peel off). so if that does not work, what type of paint should i use ( i dont want to spray paint if i dont really have to) or what can i do to it so that it wont peel off after a while.

i may decopoge some things over it, so would that medium help protect the paint also?

  • any ideas/ recipes for a 3course meal for 2 with baked salmon?

i need an easy meal just for two, i know i want baked salmon as a main course (also need a good recipe for that) but i do not know what else to serve with it. i sort of want something different and not just a plain veggie but still be simple to make. I also need a good appetizer idea that is simple to make. for dessert i was thinking one of those nice ones that are served in cocktail glasses or individual mini cakes.

  • do you have to be licensed or anything to start a "for-profit" after school art program for kids?

  • can you ask for donations to start up your business if its to add to the community?

is it bad to ask for donations (not just money, but in supplies and other stuff) for the start up of a business? i want to start an after school art program for elementary school kids, and since i want my own building (not associated with a school) i was wondering is it bad to ask for donations, be it from other business or the community since i don't have an actual building or the business started.

i was thinking of making brochures and flyer's explaining my program and how everything would be ran and operated (times, age levels, activities, etc.) and doing fundraisers (bake sales, candy sales, etc.) and explain to people my vision and why i need help funding. but i wasn't sure if people would donate because they would think i was trying to rip them off or scam them because its not something visual or i don't have an actual "start up date"

    so what's your opinion?

  • are most after school programs considered non-profit ?

so i want to have my own after school art program for kids in elementary school (summer program for all age ranges). im looking up a lot of information and stuff but i was wondering, i see a lot of places where you can get funding for after school programs, but also most of them say something about non profit.... does that mean i cant get funding/donations to help me start it because im "for profit" as apposed to non?
