Anyone in the southern states buy platinum thermocouple wire?
I ran across some wire in an attic I was cleaning out and someone told me it may be thermocouple wire made of platinum. Anywhere I can bring it local(I'm in Louisiana) I can take it to get tested and sell? I know about the places that I can mail it to. I would rather be there when they test it.

Is there a way to get collections showing paid off my credit report? Would a law firm that specializes in credit repair be able to do this?
3 AnswersCredit7 years agoWhy pay off collections?
If paid and unpaid collections both stay on your credit report for 7 years and both negatively effect your report, why would you pay off the unpaid collections? What be the advantages of paying them off?

The company I work for is spinning off my division into its own company in 2015. What are my options for my 401k plan. Do I have to roll over to the new company's plan or can I cash out my existing plan? I am aware of the penalties that come with early withdrawal, just exploring my options

8 AnswersUnited States8 years agoWill this hurt future apartment approvals?
We have been in our current apartment for about 5 months and a few times I have been 10 to 15 days late on the rent and had to pay late fees. We have a 1 year lease and plan on moving into a different apartment when the lease is up. Will those late rent payments hurt us on the new apartment approval elsewhere?

2 AnswersPersonal Finance8 years agoLibs how do you justify the whitehouse rejecting the latest plan by the house?
Republicans want to remove federal health care subsidies for Obama and legislators when they obtain health coverage so legislators can pay for their own health insurance like we do. And will obamacare meet its doom if it doesn't have the medical device tax for 2 years? What is wrong with that?
17 AnswersPolitics8 years agoLibs, do you really think the aca is perfect the way it is?
You mean there is no where to improve upon this huge bill? Obama and Reid seem to think so. I keep hearing from the left "why should we negotiate with the GOP, it passed fair and square!" Even though Obama has changed the bill many times himself to protect certain groups.
I also hear about the GOP not having any alternatives, and I can see how someone would think that if all they watch is msnbc
22 AnswersPolitics8 years agoWhy do live say the GOP won't compromise?
When they sent at least three cr's of varying degrees and Reid said its everything he and Obama wants, or nothing? He'll, when the aca was passed there was no compromise and no republican support. Obama let big business off the hook for a year, why not the middle class? That was one of the CR's congress approved

12 AnswersPolitics8 years agoDo we have to move because of noise?
Ok, so we moved into a second floor apartment about 3 months ago and have three kids. A week before a family moved into the apartment below us and the husband is a police officer. From day one, move in day, they have even complaining about us and the noise. I have made it a point to keep the noise down but as some of you know, the g round floor will hear some noise. My kids are well behaved and are not hyper at all, but they occasionally run down the hall and what not. The cop told me himself that was his third time moving and he will not move again. He also broke a lease early at the place they lived before because of the noise from the second level there as well. He works days and nights so its inevitable that he has to sleepduring some days. Well we have been told by management that we have a week to move into a ground floor apartment or be evicted due to the excessive noise.
I guess my question is have any of you lived on the ground floor and how much noise is acceptable? Seems to me that if you opt for the ground floor you will have to live with a little noise upstairs, that's apartment life

2 AnswersRenting & Real Estate8 years agoIs it too late to get a deed in lieu?
We are 2 months behind on the mortgage and will go into a third this month. Our bank will file foreclosure against us when this happens. I have heard of the deed in lieu option. What is this exactly and do I qualify?
1 AnswerRenting & Real Estate8 years agoWhat are the odds of being sued by the bank?
If I go into foreclosure and the bank doesn't recoup the total principle balance of the mortgage at auction?
2 AnswersRenting & Real Estate8 years agoHome mortgage refinancing?
Does anyone know of a mortgage company that helps people with bad credit and bankruptcy with refinancing without escrow?
3 AnswersRenting & Real Estate8 years agoWhat are our options?
I need some advise. We cannot afford our mortgage any longer. But we cannot sell because we owe more than what we can sell it for and have No money to make up the difference. We also have terrible credit as a result of a bankruptcy a few years ago. Is there any options for us at this point besides just walking away? If we were to walk away what are the chances of our bank sueing us for the difference after they auction the house? The reason we can no longer afford the payments is because of the escrow driving our house payments up every year, yet the bank will not permit us to do away with the escrow and just pay the mortgage alone.
