  • biodiesel engine for custom truck project?

    My brother gearheads and I are customizing a 1965 Chevy Pickup. It will be a 1 ton dually with an extended cab on a 1988 GMC Chassis. We are planning on using a diesel engine to power it. A two tank fuel system will be installed to use WVO. We are in disagreement on the power plant. A simple, old style, non-computer dependent, mechanical installation is preffered. I am in favor of using a Mercedes 300td.

    I was curious if anyone else has experience in this type of project, what engines were used, and if favorable results were achieved.

  • Are plastics still made with PCB's?

    I just read an article that says not to store drinking water in plastic bottles because the PCB's will leach out into the water.

    I had it in my head that PCB's are banned chemicals. Is this warning for real, or am I misunderstanding something?
