The past couple times I have made quick breads (banana, and raspberry yogurt breads) there have been small sections that taste very bitter. The loaf overall tastes great, except for these random little bits. What is making this happen?

I'll be there Nov 10th and 11th and it seems most clubs only play that type of music more on the weekends...

I was hoping to get some suggestions of simple and mild things that you do to detox. I've been so busy these past few weeks that I haven't been making the best food choices and totally skipped out on exercise. I'm getting back on track again but I would just like to do a little more.

I'd prefer not to do some box set supplement type of thing. I'm more looking for herbs, juices, teas, certain foods, etc. that are good for cleansing.

Cleaning out the fridge I found an opened pack of Yves veggie dogs, and one of Veggie Patch sundried tomato dogs. They still have a while till their expiration date, but how long should they last once the package has been opened?

I'm an artist and do murals as a part of my business from time to time. Alot of these are for children's rooms and I've been asked about painting licensed characters like from cartoons, movies, or storybooks. I've yet to do one because it seems this must be copywrite infringment.

I asked around a bit and was told that as long as the mural is in a private residence and not for example in a public business where it could be used to generate revenue for that business, that it is okay. I would like that to be true, but I'm not convinced. The last thing a "starving artist" needs is to get slapped with a lawsuit by someone like the Disney corporation.

About half the time I order a hot soy latte the drink starts to get really thick as it cools. I had one I set aside and forgot about for almost an hour, and by that time it looked like runny tapioca pudding. I don't like eating tapioca pudding so I really don't feel like drinking it!

I'm guessing it must be something with the way they heat the soy milk, because it never happens when I order it iced. The couple times I've still be at the coffee shop by the time it goes all gross on me, I've told the barista and they've always seemed preplexed.

Anyone know why this would happen?

I've seen ads for some, but haven't tried any yet. Does anyone know of any good ones? I'm seeing all those Easter marshmallow Peeps everywhere and I remember how I used to love them. I need a replacement!!

I went grocery shopping last week and picked up some cous cous and TVP (textured vegetable protien) planning to get creative and make up a couple new dishes with them. Well, they're still sitting in the pantry. I'd love some suggestions for recipes using either ingredient (especially ones that might even tempt my non-veg family, too) I've looked some up on vegweb, vegsource and fatfreevegan, that sound like they would be good but I'd really prefer ones you've tried yourself.
