  • Will the VA remove my wisdom teeth?

I am a Navy veteran. When I was in the Navy, they only removed one of my wisdom teeth because "the others have no room to come down". Here I am, 6 years later, with 3 teeth coming in and I am in a whole lot of pain. It's been happening for about two years, but just recently, like within the last week, it has become unbearable. Nothing subsides the pain and I am at the point where I can't take it anymore. This is a lot coming from a woman who had an emergency c-section with no pain meds. Please, any advice would be helpful. I would also like to add that my husband is in the Army and we have the Concordia insurance (I think maybe it's MetLife now), but I've heard that even with insurance they want $800 to extract the teeth. If that's my only option, then that's my only option. I'm just curious if the VA will cover it since I'm a veteran.

  • Need Advice about Army RCP?

My husband is currently in the Army. He did 7 years with the Navy and got out at his ETS honorably as an E-5. Around 8 months later, he joined the Army as an E-5 and unfortunately, was put into an MOS that has a very low promotion rate. We thought he would do 20 years, but with the "downsizing" of the Army, they will put him out at 15. This wouldn't be a huge deal; however, his current ETS hits around 14.5 years and they are refusing to extend him to his RCP. Is there ANYTHING we can do? Anything at all for him to get severance for his nearly 15 years of service or do we have to gracefully depart the military life with the clothes on our backs and a huge F you? Sorry for the bitterness. We've been through a lot with the Army and now it feels like we're a huge number that they are cutting from the budget while our lives slowly fall apart.
