Just a sick anti social person. I spend most of the time in Yahoo answers to socialize? lol not that I am too weird to make friends, it's just that back when I hung out with people, I felt like the social influence limited my freedom. People told me what to do, and I listened to them because it was what made me happy at that moment. However, what really will make me happy is if I become successful, and if my friends are against that, then I'll ditch them, it's that simple, but what if my standards are so high that everyone is against it? Then I'll ditch everyone =) and that is exactly what I'm doing.
What are some places that install bridges of any kind to a Les Paul?
I want locking nut, and a fixed bridge with fine tuners. I found some good ones such as Schaller, and Kahler. Probably going with Kahler since it can cover the previous holes from the tune-o-matic bridge.
Anyway, what are some places that do this kind of service? I just want some addresses that are in New York.

2 AnswersPerforming Arts6 years agoGuitar Amps: How does cabinet design affect overall tone?
Suppose we're comparing 2 4x12 cabs. Given that they both use exactly the same speakers, say 12" Celestion Vintage 30's, how does the difference of cabinet size (not the cabinet) affect tone? And how does the difference in materials used to construct each would affect their tone?
Let's take a bit of an extreme case, suppose one cabinet is barely constructed with proper materials, and the other is just magnificently constructed, and of course they would both be using Vintage 30's, how would they compare?
3 AnswersPerforming Arts6 years agoGuitar amps: How to connect a full stack in series with just one output?
My amp has the same back as this: http://www.beyondeleven.com/v/vspfiles/assets/imag...
So it has just 1 output, and the back of my cabs have a mono input only. Is there a way I can hook up my amp to be a full stack? Please help I don't want to have a useless cab ;(
I thought of replacing the jack plate to a dual one, but how would that work? Thanks in advance.
3 AnswersPerforming Arts6 years agoHow do guitarists do this technique in this video?
Anyone here watches Rob Chapman s videos? Anyway watch this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKLE2fWyRLI
The part is at 10:04, he sort of does a vibrato that sort of fades into a harmonic. How does he do that? Or at least, what s the technique called? Thanks

When I try to format cells containing the letter G, it would format G# as well. Is there a way to make it only pick G? Thanks.
3 AnswersSoftware7 years agoEvolution: Can someone explain what Mitochondrial DNA is in simple terms?
What I understand is that Y Chromosomes and Mitochondrial DNA don't get mixed up as they pass down to generations. Y Chromosome for the obvious reasons that it's only present in males. Why does Mitochondrial DNA not mix? I've heard that the Mitochondria is somewhat similar to a Bacteria, is it the DNA that's in a Mitochondria that implies that Bacteria are after all, our very distant cousins? Is there any other tiny body that lives in a cell and also has its own DNA?
I've done a lot of research on that, I just still don't understand it.
2 AnswersBiology7 years agoCan you recommend me a book that explains how we can trace ancestry through DNA. Maybe some elaboration on fossils as well?

The link above is very similar to the sort of topic I'm looking for. I've asked this same question before but to my surprise I was condemned as ignorant. One person was telling me "You won't get anything from not reading books, and it's not an excuse for your ignorance!" when all I was asking for was a good read. I do understand evolution is one of the most controversial topics that provokes heated discussions, but it isn't my intention at all to start one. All I'm asking for is a good read that is meant to be for both scientists and casual readers; probably something that appeals to the imagination. Thanks in advance.
1 AnswerBooks & Authors7 years agoIs there a book out there that talks about this aspect of the theory of evolution [read]?
I'd like to read a book that thoroughly explains the evidence of evolution in a way that appeals to the casual reader. And by that I mean it uses analogies to explain things like how fossils are dated, what might have been the other plausible theories, and etc...
I do have The Blind Watchmaker by Richard Dawkins, I haven't read it yet, but I think this book talks about how mutations and natural selection work. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

4 AnswersCivic Participation7 years agoAs an Arab person, living in a Middle Eastern country, can you rent an apartment without a marriage certificate?
I have heard that Arab laws strictly prohibit illegal sexual activities, and it goes as far as to require a marriage certificate to rent an apartment since the premise is that it is unlikely for married couple to have sexual intercourse outside of their marriage. Is it true? Is the same law imposed on foreigners as well who live in Arab countries?
I've asked this before, but I didn't phrase it well so it sounded like I was being racist, I apologize for that.
1 AnswerLaw & Ethics7 years agoSolve for A?
I tried sites that solve problems, though they complicate it even more and don't provide a good explanation.
Anyway, solve for A:
A^(-3/2) + 7 = 5104/729
Thanks in advance for your help.
Homework Help7 years agoIs there any law in Arab countries that prevent unmarried people from renting an apartment?
I have heard that this is the case for most Arabs, which is why marriage is almost always arranged for them. Is that true? If so, to what extent? Elaborate.
7 AnswersUnited Arab Emirates7 years agoAre you able to deal with stocks while doing other tasks, as in multi tasking?
I'm only asking this because I'm interested in both stocks, and playing music. I happen to live in a time-zone where stock markets begin and end at night time, which makes it convenient for me to work with them after my day time-job. I was wondering if anyone here has been able to do other tasks while watching stocks? My mother drives while she watches her stocks, not a good thing, but if she's capable of doing so, I'm assuming others are capable of multi-tasking as well? I know I could ask my mother about this, which I will, but for the time-being, I want to gather as much opinions from everybody as possible.
Thanks in advance.
4 AnswersInvesting7 years agoWhat stops light from travelling indefinitely?
I apologize if the question seems absurd, but please recognize that my understanding to physics is very limited. So my question is, if light travels at a speed of 300,000 kmph, then what makes say a light bulb much weaker than the light emitted from the sun? Can you explain in terms of what happens with photons? And given the right conditions, can you make the light emitted from a light bulb travel indefinitely? If so, what are these conditions? Elaborate!
