Gray line/crack on tooth? ?
Hi! Ive just noticed a weird stain or crack on one of my canine teeth. It’s toward the side closest to my incisor tooth. It’s almost right between the two teeth. I can’t figure out what it actually is online anywhere. But it looks like a vertical crack line except it isn’t cracked on the surface. It looks like it could be a crack under the tooth enamel if that’s possible. It’s a very translucent gray color, and nothing will make it go away. I’m very good with my oral hygiene. I brush multiple times, floss often and daily, water pick, etc. I’m pretty certain it wouldn’t be from poor oral hygiene. Can anyone tell me what this might be?
3 AnswersDental5 months agoLooking for a mattress topper for severe back pain? ?
Hi! I’m a 23 year old female dealing with severe back pain, as well as other pain due to my mattress. I recently got a new mattress because my old one was hurting my back. The new mattress I got was given to me from my dad (bought from someone on FB marketplace and basically brand new) but the new mattress is just as bad if not worse and I can not return it. It’s extremely hard. So I got a mattress topper and it wasn’t bad at first, it’s a cooling memory foam topper (which is what I’m looking for) from Costco , and yet it’s still too hard, as I am very light and my body weight doesn’t allow me to sink in enough. I wake up all night in so much pain I could cry, my back pain is also starting to cause other problems such as frequently feeling the need to urinate, and cold sweats. Luckily I have time to return the mattress topper and get another one. But it’s hard for me to decide which is the best. I do like the feeling of memory foam, but I am a hot sleeper so it would have to be cooling. I also don’t want to spend more than 200$ on one. It would have to be VERY soft as my mattress is probably a 10 in firmness. I don’t know much about mattresses so I feel kinda lost in the options, can anyone help me chose the right one? I am a side sleeper and occasionally a back sleeper. I’d prefer one that has some sort of way to stay placed on the mattress, such as a strap or sheet so it doesn’t slide around. Although if it is really good I wouldn’t care too much.
2 AnswersPain & Pain Management7 months agoCosmetic dentistry. What is the best option for me? ?
When I was 14 I got braces because I had an impacted canine, they had to do surgery to pull it down as they said it wouldnt grow in on it’s own. I got them removed when I was almost 17 a bit earlier than I should have as I felt super insecure with the braces and the straightness of my teeth did not really bother me at the time. My teeth are almost straight, but the canine tooth is kind of twisted sideways and there’s is a gap between that tooth and the one next to it towards the back. Other than that, they are straight and white and I don’t really hate them but also the enamel seems thin and I am extremely bothered by the fact one side of my mouth has slightly longer/thicker teeth. My dentist told me he wouldn’t file them because he didn’t want to file over perfectly good enamel. This isn’t a major insecurity for me and I’m looking into cosmetic dentistry to fix it. I’m also concerned about cosmetic dentistry’s looking bulky (as my mom got vaneers/caps a while ago that really stick out. I wasn’t thinking I could fix the crooked canine with an implant, and get bonding on my other teeth to fix the minor shape issues? Is there any other/better options? Can you tell me about how much it would cost, us to for the the top 6 (maybe 8) teeth?
Dental11 months agoSevere cold intolerance!? ?
Hi! I’m a 23 year old female. I have had this problem for a REALLY long time now where I get cold all the time for no reason...almost so cold that it prevents me from doing anything at all. My body gets numb, my teeth chatter, I start shaking. It’s quite embarrassing and very uncomfortable. I am quite thin, and have been vegetarian for about 7 years, yet I remember having this problem before I changed my diet (I would consider it to be a pretty healthy one) ...Anemia was also ruled out by a doctor, although I still occasionally take iron pills just incase? Is there anyone who can tell me what to do about this? I live in florida and need to put the heat on in my car...
3 AnswersOther - Health1 year agoVegetarian for 7 years. What vitamins do I need?
Hello. So I have been vegetarian for 7 years now. I’m a 22 year old female, 5’3 around 95 pounds. I have been dealing with a problem for years now but didn’t really think much of it or understand it could be related to something caused by vitamin deficiency. But basically I have extreme ups and downs when it comes to mood and energy. I know it’s common, but for me when my mood and energy levels are low it almost feels like chronic fatigue, I can not force myself to do anything. I feel weak, and extremely tired to the point no matter how much I sleep I can’t get enough. I sometimes become afraid to sleep when I know I have something important to do the next day in fear I won’t be able to wake up. It feels like a physical depression, although I wouldn’t say I am mentally depressed at all. My mind has the motivation but my body feels completely burnt out. These periods happen randomly and they last different lengths of time, as well as my good days. I will have days where I am full of energy and it’s almost like a manic episode where I feel on top of the world and I can accomplish anything. I haven’t been able to pin point what foods or lack of, that are causing this as I have experienced both high energy and feeling severely depleted on the same diets. But anytime I search this, all the results say vitimin deficiency. Can anyone help me, has anyone had a similar experience? Does anyone know what vitimins would help? Any thoughts or opinions would be really appreciated.
7 AnswersDiet & Fitness2 years agoTraining a 3 year old adopted dog please help?
In June I lost my 5 year old pit to cancer, I adopted him when he was 1. About a month ago I adopted a 3 year old “stafforshire terrier” (same breed as my first) but he could be mixed. He’s a great dog, extremely friendly/loving and sweet. He gets along with other dogs too which my first dog had issues with. The problem is he is a big dog (abt. 70 lbs) and has no concept of his size or personal space. He is needy and has a lot of energy. I know bully breeds are known to be big lapdogs and other one was. But unlike my other dog he doesn’t understand when he hurts someone accidentally. My other dog was a huge lapdog but he was very gentle and careful and if he would accidenlty hurt someone he was able to tell and he would react to that person and calm down. This dog is so energetic and runs and leaps on top of us full force with all his weight. He hits us with his paws unaware how heavy they are. I know he means well he is very sweet and never would want to hurt someone purposely. He gets really excited easily and starts jumping and leaping around and if he hits someone or jumps them and they express pain he becomes even more playful and thinks they are playing. He also wakes me up every morning by jumping right onto my face. Is there anything I can do to train him and teach him personal space? How can I get him to understand his size and to be more gentle? Please no discriminative billy breed responses. He is a great and loving dog not a mean or aggressive bone in his body.
9 AnswersDogs3 years agoNames that end in "is" or "as" ?
Hello :) so I really love names that end in the letters is or the sound "iss" I just find the spelling and pronunciation of those names so beautiful, such as Silas, Elias, Solaris (I know that one is uncommon and usually disliked). I also loved the name Isis but the terrorist group ruined that one unfortunately. Are there any other names that end with the sound "iss" that are not really common names? I'm not looking for Alexis or Iris. I want something kinda unique but not too much. Any help?

17 AnswersBaby Names4 years agoWhy does my dogs breath smell like fish?
Hi :) I have a 3 year old staffordshire terrier and he started having this problem a little while ago where he licks everything (blankets, couch, his paws) and it starts to smell like fish so bad, it will make the whole room smell. He gets baths frequently and I tried brushing his teeth (he hardly lets me do it well) but it works for a day and then comes back. I thought maybe it could be his anal glands since he did scoot his butt a lot and scracted it/licked t. So he went to the vet under anesthesia and got his teeth cleaned, his anal glands fixed, and blood work. So I thought that worked, but last night he started licking his blanket and I kept telling him to stop but he was so into it that even trying to pull his head away didn't even make him stop. It smelled just as bad as before and today I still smell it on him. The vet said everything was fine, his teeth were cleaned good, it's not his anal glands. What could this be?
4 AnswersDogs4 years agoFirst tattoo help?
Hi :) so I've been wanting a tattoo for years and I've finally decided to get it tomorrow for my birthday but I'm a little nervous. I'm going to get it on my forearm and it's just words in black ink. It will be my first "real tattoo" I say that in quotes because a few years ago I did a small stick and poke tattoo on the side of my finger. I'm a 20 year old female and my arms are pretty skinny so I'm nervous about the pain, also I'm anemic so I'm scared I will get light headed. I think I have a pretty high pain tolorence but it might be because I've done all of my piercings and stuff myself and never had a stranger in control... And I know it's different for everybody but I just want opinions on how bad it will hurt. Also if there is anything I can do to prep myself before getting it done like good things to eat. Before ..or any other advice :)

Sorry if this question is stupid but I don't really know anything about using midi keyboards. I have a Yamaha DGX-220 keyboard and I want to know if it is possible to connect the keyboard as a midi controller using garage band on my iphone5c ? I've looked it up and have not found anything. It has a usb but not one like the one on the iPhone charger. Is there an adapter that would allow me to connect to my phone? I will put a pic of the usb plug. Any info would be helpful I'm new to this and quite confused lol
2 AnswersMusic & Music Players4 years ago25 mg Zoloft....?
Hi :) I went to my phycologist yesterday due to on going insomnia and anxiety. He told me that he usually prescribes a SSRI for anxiety instead of a narcotic, and that after a while of taking it I should also be able to sleep better if the anxiety is part of the sleep issue. I wouldn't say that I am really depressed, besides a few down days sometimes like most people. So he said he would keep the dose low. He told me that some of the side effects were nauseousness, headache, racing heart... And he told me to take it at night to space it from my add meds. He also told me I wouldn't really feel effects for a few weeks. I took my first dose last night not expecting to feel anything but I found that I had an even harder time falling asleep, I had a ton of energy and my heart was racing. Today I felt exhausted, I napped until 3 PM. I would wake up and just decide to go back to sleep. But I also felt slightly euphoric. Not too much where I felt manic, but I felt pretty good even though I just wanted to nap. Is this normal? Am I supposed to feel anything from one dose? And will the insomnia effect from these meds wear off or should I take it in the morning?
2 AnswersMental Health5 years agoSeeing the same woman in my dreams?
So the past few nights I have been seeing the same woman in my dream. I do not know her but when I wake up I feel as if I do like I have to think about where I have met her.
I have also been hanging out with this guy who wants a relationship, I only want to be friends. He has also been in every dream that includes this woman, and he is kind of my boyfriend in them. The first dream I was in some classroom taking a test, he was sitting next to me, and the woman was like the teacher or just in charge of the testing room. She was drawn to me and she sat in front of me and asked me questions and helped me with the test. I started crying for some reason I don't remember. Then it was night time and I was wondering around and I bumped into her in a park where she was with her friends and she invited me to stay and hang out. The second dream I was being put in a "jail" the woman was in charge of watching the people in there, and I was waiting in a room, my "boyfriend" was in another. The woman came in and I was upset that I couldn't have a notebook and pen to write while I was there and she calmed me down and said I would only be there for 3 hours lol any ways both dreams felt like this woman was protecting me, watching me and showing up when I needed her. I didn't know her in my dream at first and towards the end of both dreams I started to know her. But she always came to me. She was older than me, I'm 19 and she seemed about late 20's or early 30's. Anyone know what this means?
1 AnswerDream Interpretation5 years agoBaritone ukulele questions please help!?
Hi :) so I play the piano, and have tried learning guitar but gave up, I have been wanting to get a ukulele for a while because I've heard they were easy. My sister bought a soprano ukulele and I figured it out so fast, tuned it and even learned a few songs. After playing around with hers I bought one from someone on an app pretty cheap but it is a very nice ukulele with good strings instead of plastic ones, the only problem is it is a baritone which I didn't know exsisted until now as I am very clueless about stringed instruments. Anyways, I did reasearch, got an app to tune it, and it sounded very dark so I made a homemade capo and put it on the 5th fret which seemed to help. But the app I used to time baritone ukuleles also had the chords on there which are the ones I've been learning and figuring out for the past week only to realize that I think they are saprano chords. They didn't sound too bad while playing songs with them. So my questions are... I've seen a lot of people ask about tuning baritone ukuleles like tenor ones but no information about making it into a soprano, is that possible as well? I'm sorry if I sound stupid I am just very inexperienced. Also if I keep it as a baritone and use a capo can I still play the soprano chords I've been using and be right? My fingers really don't work for the baritone chords. Any info would help really. Can I buy soprano strings and re string/ tune it? how much would it cost to get it re strung about? Please help me!
2 AnswersOther - Music5 years agoAntidepressants/social anxiety?
Hi :) I am a 19 year old female and I have found myself feeling very stuck in life. I never wanted to be that person on a bunch of meds so I have been in denial/ignoring it but have come to realization that it's not getting any better and I'm not going to get anywhere by not taking action. I am currently taking 30 mg vyvanse for ADD which is helping a lot (I've been on it a few years) but I've also struggled with depression/social anxiety/general anxiety for as long as I can remember. Both of my parents are drug addicts and my family has a lot of history of mental illness. I have found myself self medicating occasionally to take away these things by myself which I do not want to do. I am trying to avoid the mistakes my parents made. Anyways sorry if this is too long or isn't making sense. My questions are.... Will antidepressants help with social anxiety as well? Also is there any antidepressants that I can still take my vyvanse with? How do I go about getting on medication? Social anxiety/general anxiety has really taken over my life and is preventing me from moving forward as an adult. I don't have a license because driving gives me severe anxiety, I stay at home almost all the time making money by selling stuff online, which is not what I want to do all my life. I can't go look for a job because of severe social anxiety, and it just sucks because everyone thinks I'm lazy but in my head I know the kind of person I could be if this wasn't holding me back.
3 AnswersMental Health5 years agoWater color and typography? Please help!?
Hi :) so I just got really into typography. I have done calligraphy before on and off growing up but recently got a new pen (a quite cheap one from Michaels) and have been playing around. I have also been watching videos of water color techniques over typography which I was planning on trying. I was in the process of making my mom a birthday card and I worked very carefully and hard on the lettering to only realize that the ink that came with my pen is not water proof. I didn't test it on the writing I did for the card thankfully. So my question is, is there any way I can still use water color around this ink? Is there any way I can make the ink water proof? Anything to set it so it won't smudge before I paint around it? I really love the lettering I did and don't know if I can re create it or even attempt it considering how long I've worked on it, but it looks plain with no color and I was looking forward to playing with the water colors. Please help! What can I do?
3 AnswersDrawing & Illustration5 years agoNo personal space!? Please help!?
I live in a small apartment with my grandma, her roomate and my dad. I moved in with her a year ago after living with my other grandma, my drug addict mom and my drug addict father and step mom. Neither of those places worked out. I was happier here as my grandma is very stable, although I sleep on a couch. Until my dad moved in as well. He didn't even ask to move in he just slept over a few nights until he became fully moved in which he has done often. He sleeps on the other couch in a small living room across from me. My grandma has the master room which is a disaster from all of mine, hers and my father's stuff. Her roomate has the other room (he has been her roomate since before I was born.) so I just feel so trapped and like I have no space. I spend a lot of time in the bathroom and taking showers because it's the only place to get away but I get teased about always being in the bathroom and called narcissistic although I'm not in there to obsess over myself. I don't have a room to decorate or personalize. My dad is always blasting the tv when I'm trying to sleep or he stays up all night drilling in the kitchen which is right by my bed (couch) and he is very messy but my grandma won't kick him out because he is a drug addict and she worries about him. it is very depressing and I have no where else to go. I just want to be left alone!! Please help! What can I do to get more space?
1 AnswerFamily5 years agoHome made face masks?
Hi :) I'm a 19 year old female and recently I've been dealing with a lot of acne that won't go away. I've never had bad acne before just a few black heads so I don't really know why it is happening. I have tried changing my pillow case every night, drinking more water, vitamins, stopped using new products, changed my diet. I used to wash my face morning and night but my face is very dry so I switched to just at night but I do rinse it with just warm water in the mornings. I still wear makeup every day which probably isn't making things better but I just feel to gross to not wear any. Plus all of the makeup products are ones I've used before that never broke me out and I'm not leaving the makeup on my face as long as I used to, I take it off as soon as I'm settled in the house and not planning on going back out. So today I've decided to not wear makeup and give my skin a break but I was wondering if anyone knew a good homemade natural face mask I could try? My face feels very tight and dry, it sort of hurts when I scrunch my face up but at the same time it feels so dirty and oily no matter how much I try to make it feel clean. The break outs are all on my chin, above my lip and around my lip. They aren't really big but are pretty red, the ones on my chin just look like discoloration from far away so they maybe just inflamed pores. My chin is the worst part because the skin feels so heavy and weird, like I can tell it is very clogged. What can I do to help get rid of this?
1 AnswerSkin Conditions5 years agoRandom acne, please help!?
Hi :) I am an 18 year old female, I have never had bad acne besides black heads and a few pimples here and there. The past year I have been getting a few pimples around my mouth area about once a month and I assumed it was from toothpaste or my period. But about a month ago I started breaking out really bad, mostly around my mouth (chin, sides of lips, above lip and under nose) and a few spreading to my cheek. I assumed that was from a product I used a little before then that I was not used to so I haven't used the product since. I got a good facial scrub that I have used before and know it doesn't irratate my skin (Clinique 7 day scrub) and after a little over a week it cleared up and stayed clear for about a week until it started to come back. Now it is starting to get bad again, starting above my mouth and the corners of my mouth. They aren't normal looking pimples, they pretty small and I can only see a little white in a close up mirror. One of them above my lip is like a blister, it's red and more flat. I just don't know what could cause this? I am not using anything new, and I've never experienced bad breakouts. Can someone please help me? Could it be caused by stress? I wash my face, and moisterize. I tried changing my pillow case often and I don't touch my face. I don't know what else to do?
