Okay so I am a senior in high school in Indianapolis, Indiana. I love working with kids, and I babysit all the time, but that is just not cutting it! I need money so I can do what I love to do; shop, keep my hair and nails done, go to games, movies and etc. But with me babysitting every now and then isn't working for me. I am still 17 and will be 18 in January so I can't work at day-cares or things just yet because you need to be at least 18, or I think so anyway. My question is what can I do in the mean time to make some money that involves kids and me NOT having to be 18 just yet. I know if I cant find anything I'll have to do what I'll have to do but I really, REALLY DO NOT want to work in a fast food restaurant! If there isn't anything that you would recommend me to get new clientele for my babysitting PLEASE HELP. I really don't charge that much like if it's 2 or 3 kids for 4 or 5 hours I'll charge like $35 or $40! I just need new ideas on what I can do until my birthday Jan. 23! If you can help in ANYWAY possible I will GREATLY appreciate it.

I am a senior in high school, and in the fall of 2012 I plan on going to Ivy Tech Community College in Indianapolis, IN. I plan on majoring in Early Childhood Education, I have a great passion for working with kids in the Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st Grade range. Well here is my question, from May to August what can I do to continue working with kids and continue getting experience. What jobs could I possibly do? I was thinking of maybe a camp counselor or things of that nature. Also what should I do after my 2 yrs. are up at Ivy Tech CC? I was thinking of transferring and then finish the next 2 yrs. and then I don't know. How does the job process work when you are done with college and wanting to become a teacher? Besides getting my bachelors degree what else do I need to become a teacher?

These girls are from freshman to seniors, and the group is sort of just starting. I really need some good discussion ideas, lately there have been a lot of pregnancies so I know that is one topic but I need more. The meeting is usually a hour and a half long. I am the ring leader and I really want to start this thing off right! Please Help!
