Which of these two bicycles should I buy?
These are the two bikes I've currently narrowed my search down to (after some helpful advice from a bike shop employee) and I was just wondering if anyone had any opinions on either? I realize these are the 2011 models but based on their specs if anyone has or has ridden similar bikes, I'd appreciate some thoughts.
I primarily ride near my home which is located out in the country where most (though not all) of the roads are paved but are usually a little rough. I don't plan to really off-road, just possibly some trails near town once I move back to the city.
Please only suggest other bikes if they are around the same price and you can explain why it would be a better option. Thanks for your advice :D
8 AnswersCycling1 decade agoSites for car reviews by mechanics?
After finally coming to terms with the reality that my 2001 Dodge Stratus is not the little beast I thought she was, I've begun doing some online research into other cars I can hopefully afford to more seriously investigate in 2011. As I've been searching online it's occurred to me that while owner reviews and critic reviews are helpful, the people who know cars the best inside and out are mechanics. I know quite a few long-time mechanics (including my mother's husband) but most of them work in rural areas where they rarely work on a wide variety of cars or newer ones, meaning there's only so many suggestions I can ask them for.
So my question is this: Are there any good car review websites that specifically feature reviews by actual mechanics and not just professional reviewers and car owners?
1 AnswerBuying & Selling1 decade agoBook(s) about Women in/on Film?
Hey,
So I'm trying to set-up an independent study course for myself at college and I want to do it on women in and on film, sort of the history of how women have been portrayed in cinema. That sounds a little broad but I'm focusing it down to mostly in American Mainstream cinema, although I would like to have a small international section. Anyway, I need to find books that discuss women on screen and women behind the scenes (directors, writers, etc.) but I'm having trouble getting started, can anyone suggest some books I should look into?
