  • Should I sign-out my E-mail EVERY-TIME I use it? Why?

I RECENTLY, ...after a long-LONG exasperating phone-conversation, (FINALLY!!!) restored my Yahoo E-mail: I was told that there were securities concerns/issues involved. I thought, 'Was these (security issues/concerns)' due to me CONSTANTLY having my E-mail OPEN? Should I sign-out my E-mail EVERY-TIME I use it?

  • What is Yokota Air Base in Japan like?

Back the the 80s I was stationed on a ship, USS MIDWAY, out of Yokosuka for four (4) years. While I was Navy; Yokota was Air Force. Japan in general is absolutely fun. While I remember there was NO good/great shopping ON-BASE at that time, I do remember there was absolute great shopping at Yokosuka (A-33 Building ?) and especially OFF-BASE in Yokohama (Itsusaki-cho/Kannai Station especially) and in Tokyo. While many Japanese pride themselves on learning and speaking English (and always want a chance to show-it-off), ...MY suggestion is be open and learn to speak, YOURSELF, and read Japanese (The populous will love that YOU spent time to learn their language and culture, and YOU'LL get-over like a "rich kid in a candy-store")

BEFORE I joined the Navy,I was an Asian Studies major in college and already spoke SOME Japanese BEFORE I went to Japan; BUT when I was encouraged to use my language skills while there, ...THEN everything changed for the better; I miss Japan allot and will always,... and the rest of EASTPAC that I traveled; Have fun while there and get out and explore. • Is there anyone else, other than me, who's rabidly & totally entralled about the "Through the Wormhole"?

Are there/Is there anyone else, other than me, who's rabidly facinated and totally entralled about the "Through the Wormhole" series? While I'm already a huge PBS watcher and look at nearly anything on NOVA, this show (Through the Wormhole), especially, has made me nearly obcessive about grabbing almost any book and scoweringthe Internet (i.e. recently discovering www.khanacademy.com, etc.) on advanced math/post Alegebra; math is the key to understanding science better. Is there anyone else like that out there?

I wish I/we could get together, brainstorm, share ideas, discuss things speciifcally on the show and inter-relate our perspectives and just generally have fun about the show. ANYONE?

  • Is there a dating website for unemployed people?

I often wondered, here I am Black-American male, a very-VERY young looking 59 year old, college grad., multi-lingual and unemployed (Where can a 59 year old find a good/fair paying job out here?). Anyway, can such, unemployed people-NOT JUST ME, really find a dating site that is fair and UNJUDGEMENTAL? Are negative attitudes all we have to encounter and expect?

  • Why was the 2012 World Figure Skating Campionships, Nice, France NOT on 'regular' TV and limited ONLY to Unive?

Why was the 2012 World Figure Skating Campionships, Nice, France NOT on 'regular', Over-The-Air (OTA) TV, and limited ONLY to Universal Sports & Icenetwork.com? Why do we who do NOT have cable TV made to ALWAYS suffer? Why is figure skating ALWAYS sacrificed? It's always cut short for some other, earlier, event;Golf isn't even cut-damn-it! Also Mens figure skating has NEVER been properly represented, either, the movie "Blades On Ice" isn't even real skating, and many mass-media types beleive that that was/is actually skating-HA!!!. Many NON-skaters know nothing about REAL skating; why are they always the one who criticize it and give it a bad rep? What the hell is going-on? I'm really pissed and annoyed by all this!

  • Who said: "All 'TRUE' nuclear energy research ended when the first Atomic bomb was dropped?" (Fission VS; Fusi?

All "True" nuclear energy research began to concentrate on fission energy research and NOT fusion after the atomic bomb was developed and dropped; from that point onward fission nuclear energy research dominated; Now that modern technology is concerned about energy conservation and so-called "clean" energy, fusionable nuclear research, though behind because the overly concentrated fission (atomic bomb mentality) has dominated nuclear energy research for the past few decades; nuclear energy has become synonmous with fission NOT fusion. I'm interesred in what fusionable nuclear energy research is available (NOT TO MAKE A BOMB; I'M SERIOUSLY INTERESTED IN "CLEAN/REUSABLE" ENERGY RESEARCH-ONLY!!!!)

  • How come it's so hard to return to college/get INTO Graduate school, esp. receiviing a BA 30 yrs ago?

    Hi.

I am kind-of manic about NOT taking math and Algebra, earlier, when I was an undergraduate 30 yrs. ago. Now after spending nearly 20/30 years in computer hardware (cannibalizing, refurbishing and literally building an entire computer unit from scratch, used and spare parts-almost with my eyes closed and definitely with NO instructions). I have been convinced to go for an "official" advanced studies degree in the subject I know so well. The problem is that I messed-up/didn't a good grade, in a recent College Algebra course, like did when I was an undergraduate student in the '70s and it really-REALLY angered the (BLEEP!) out of me. Now I am embarrassed BUT (!!!) seemingly irrationally determined to return to college for a Computer Engineering (NOT Computer software [N]or Computer Programming) Masters degree, maybe a PhD, but I need SERIOUS retooling of my math (Algebra, Pre-calculus, prior to getting in Calculus) for my advanced degree studies, ...BUT (!!!#3) I can NOT find any serious replies, (N)or tutoring, regarding my requests, (N)or anyone who will take my situation seriously enough to "SERIOUSLY" help.

    Replies?
