  • About a situation with child support?

Hello, and thanks in advance for any advice you might be able to give. Here is the situation- my ex finally decided to pay (or was forced by the IRS to pay) child support. (my kids are 14 and 12, we have seen maybe $200 in the last 14 years) He informed me they kept his entire tax refund of over $700. Now here's the kicker-we still received nothing. It all went to his overdue support for his 2 other kids (ages 23 and 21) who live in a different state than we do. He also admitted he claimed my children on his tax return as not living with him, although he hasn't paid support since mid 1999!(my husband and I claim the children on ours, also) I am looking for any advice on what step to take next legally, as the whole situation is becoming stressful and frustrating. He and I also live in different counties although in the same state. So where do I start? Domestic relations in his county, mine, out of state, or IRS? Thanks for your time! :)

  • my husband does not respect my feelings....?

in fact, he knows certain things hurt me terribly, yet he continues to do them. he always says- "it's just a problem i have"- and expects me to accept that and be ok with it. in the past 2 years that we have been married, i have forgiven him time & again just to have him hurt me more. i don't understand how someone can say they love you, yet purposefully hurt you. the worst thing is what i have become. i am an empty shell of what i used to be, ashamed to be seen, let alone go anywhere. i don't know who i am anymore. i'm not looking for any quick fixes, i don't even know if this can be fixed when he refuses to do anything to help himself. i have done all i can, i can not fix it by myself. i guess my real question is does anyone see a reason to still hang on? i know it's hard to form an opinion without the whole story, but any kind of suggestion would be appreciated.thank you for listening
