  • Obscure high-fantasy movie scene?

Setting: A wizard (probably draped in white) stands atop a wall of sorts - probably a wooden one - with his army behind both him and the wall. The opposing army approaches, then stops. The wizard shouts "___! I bring you fire!" The soldiers then engulf rocks in flames and loosen/cut the ropes holding back their catapult beams, sending the fiery boulders towards the enemy army. An enemy soldier turns toward his commanding officer and says something akin to "we can't win! The wizard has fire!", but his superior (probably also a wizard) knows that this was a trick, and that the former wizard can't really conjure up great balls of fire on a whim.

Does anyone know what scene I'm talking about?

  • Vaping safety?

Let me preface this by stating that I've done a lot of research on vaping fluid, so I'm not interested in answers on that. What I'm interested in, rather, is the safety of the electronics. I've heard some horror stories involving pieces exploding and burning several body parts, and that sort of concerns me. For example, I'm assuming that this product:

    http://epuffer.com/e-pipe-vape-pipe/epipe-605/epip...

is a lot safer because it doesn't use combustion, and greatly minimizes (if not eliminates) the possibility of exploding.

Now, how safe is this product?

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/152015285114?_trksid=p2060...

The high ratings put me at ease somewhat, and further research says that there's "no burning", but what does that mean? Does this thing have a worrying probability of exploding?

What's the name of this song? I've been trying to enter the lyrics onto Google and Bing, but I just can't find the song. Did they just make the song specifically for Ed Edd n' Eddy?

  • Solve this math problem?

A bacteria has a doubling period of 9 days. If there are 3650 bacteria present now, how many will there be in 35 days?

First we must find the daily growth rate (Round this to four decimal places).

    The growth rate is .0800

    .

Then we use this rate to answer the question.

    There will be ______ bacteria

This question has been frustrating me to no end; I already figured out the first part of the problem (daily growth rate), but I can't seem to figure out the second part. I've gotten answers such as 60022.9607 and 53966.51, but both of them have been wrong.

  • Can you identify this wine based on the bottle?

So I got this bottle a couple of days ago, and I was wondering exactly what kind of wine it was.

I know that it's a Georgian wine, but it doesn't seem to say what year it was made. I've Googled Khvanchkara wine but nothing like this bottle popped up anywhere, which is really a shame because I love its design.

  • I feel like I missed out on being a teen. Anyone else? Advice?

    So here's my situation:

I've been homeschooled since 7th grade (I recently graduated HS), and I'm going to be attending a university pretty soon. Since I graduated, I realized something: I completely missed out on being a teen. I was always the "good kid"; I never rebelled against my parents, drank (the only time was in Germany, and even then it was legal), did drugs, had a girlfriend, or did any stupid, crazy thing with friends. In fact, I don't even have friends - I lost all of them when I started homeschooling, then I moved to a big town/small city that barely had anything in it. Because of this, I turned to the computer. I made a lot of internet friends, but every time I stopped talking to them I got sad because there was really nothing else I could do. And so, I started being depressed for 6 years (don't have depression). I tried getting out and going to a public school (especially junior-senior year of HS), but my parents always decided to take vacations at odd times to take advantage of the homeschooling flexibility. For example, I wanted to enroll at the only "suitable" HS (which was 45 minutes away) for my senior year, but my family went to both Germany and the Philippines that year; the days I would've missed had I enrolled in public school + the time it would've taken to get there (I can't drive yet, I'm learning to for uni though) forced me to stay homeschooled. In addition, I'm Asian and a Jehovah's Witness (both of which encouraged me to do the best I could in school and remain obedient to my parents, and not do anything American teens consider "fun". My parents don't even consider having friends as a teen to be important, and to "work now and have fun later." HA.). And so, being a poor, homeschooled, Asian Jehovah's Witness, all I did was stay at home, go to "church", and go on the computer. I never had a social life, I never had a "movie teenhood" where I had a close circle of friends and did stupid things every day with. For the past couple of years every school-related piece of media that I see makes me feel like I die a little inside, yet I keep watching them because they keep me more entertained and feel fulfilled than a lot of things. And so, I've been determined to do everything I would've done if I was a white, well-off teen living in the suburbs with a great circle of friends in college. It won't be the exact same thing, but it's worth a shot.

Does anyone have similar experiences? And, does anyone have any advice for me?

  • College courses selection? Pre-Nursing at NAU?

I'm going to be starting college at NAU later this year, and I was wondering how to choose my courses when I accept NAU's offer later this month. How would this process go? Would it tell me online which courses I need to take and then give me a schedule I can choose, then show additional courses I can take? How would the entire thing go?

  • Notifying Colleges About Acceptances?

So I applied to Northern Arizona University using their Personal Advantage Application, and I got accepted! After, I applied to ASU; I still haven't been accepted there because I have to fill out other forms due to homeschooling. I was initially leaning towards ASU, but now I just want to accept the offer from NAU.

If I do accept NAU's offer, what do I do about ASU? Would I need to contact them saying that I've already accepted NAU's offer and to just cancel my application? I'm a bit lost.

  • Pre-Calculus/Trigonometry or Statistics and Probability?

I'm thinking of switching over to Statistics and Probability for my 2nd semester (I'm a high school senior). I'm not doing too well in Pre-Calculus and my guidance counselor advised me to switch to Statistics if I'm still struggling with Pre-Cal, which I am.

So, should I switch? Would Statistics be easier for me since I'm only beginning to understand Pre-Cal?

  • Which SAT subjects should I take?

I'm currently a senior and I'm taking: British and World Literature, Psychology, U.S Government and Politics, Pre-Calculus and Trigonometry, Nutrition and Wellness and Life Skills. I plan to study Nursing at ASU, so which SAT subjects should I take? I'm doing pretty badly in Pre-Calculus and my family won't be in town on November 3rd, so I'll be taking the December 1st tests. Would taking the SAT's in December be too late? I'm only applying for regular admission.

I know I'll have to take Literature, but do I take Math 1 or Math 2? I've heard that Math 1's generally easier but the curve is higher, so it's easier to get a higher score on Math 2. Do I take any subjects other than Math 1/2 or Literature?
