  • Did my Interac ALT application get rejected?

So, I applied to interac midway through November to be an ALT this April and I haven t heard from them yet. I have read about people who have been contacted about their phone interview within a week of applying and others who have had to wait a little longer but the silence is killing me. I think they said that everyone who doesn t make it through to the next stage will be contacted but i ve heard that before from other employers.

I went to update my application recently because i got a new passport and i noticed that my application status says closed and my placement status says withdrawn . Is this my rejection? I can t remember what they said before and i m just worrying that i might have snookered myself with the whole passport thing.

  • How necessary is grinding in persona 4 golden?

I got persona 4 for my vita about 3 days ago. I've already put 35 hours into it (I'm Completly addicted) and I'm at The shadow mitsuo boss battle (the gaming themed dungeon) on normal difficulty. I'm a rank 37 and struggling with him. I can get him down to the baby form but then he'll get one of my guys with a weakness and then do some super move thing which gets us all down to like 70 health and then build up his f'ing armour again.

I'm gonna spend some time grinding on the level below the boss but is it necessary? I really hate grinding in games with a passion. I like the first few levels of the dungeons where you are trying to figure out the new enemies weaknesses but by level 5 I basically know how to kill everything without much bother. I'm not facing through it either I always make sure I fill out the map on each level.

I really like the combat but I hate the monotony of grinding and I want to spend more time than I am doing social link stuff. Any tips?

  • How to get started on writing a fictional novel?

Recently I have been overcome with the urge to write a novel. In my head I have been able to paint a very clear picture of the characters, the beginning and the end. With some (in my own opinion) pretty cool concepts about the story itself.

I basically just decided today that I will give myself the long-term project of writing up the book. However I'm not really familiar with the process of actually writing a book. I've done some research on the subject however I can only really find how to write factual books. I have read that authors such as JK Rowling who just one day had an idea and began work. I'm not sure if I have the same thing. I haven't as of yet went on the full journey of the story yet. I have a very clear idea of the beginning and the end but I haven't filled in the middle bit in my mind yet.

Should I complete the journey and create some sort of storyboard or just start writing? Not that I'm looking to get the book published or anything. It's really just a case of going to sleep having a pretty awesome idea which luckily I retained when I awoke and I find myself currently with not much to do other than wait until uni starts up again.

  • Can I import the ps4?

The ps4 costs $399 which is £256. However they are selling it to us for £349. Which isn't even close. If I import my (region free) ps4 from America will I need to pay customs an additional fee?. I understand I might be looking at a £20 postage fee or something plus maybe a day or two's wait on the console but it would be worth it to save about £70 if no further fees are incurred.

  • What should I get my dad for christmas?

I know what I'm going to get most of my family but I'm stuck on my dad. I don't want to spend more than about £100 but I want to get him something he likes. He used to be a mod back in the day. In other words he is a big fan of vespa, lambretta and likes to listen to the jam and other bands like that. I was looking at getting him a signed and framed paul weller album but it is way over budget. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I should get him?

  • can you get an std without having sex?

I am an 18 year old male virgin and I think that I might have and std. There are small goosebump like lumps on the shaft of the penis and on my testicles. I have had them for a few years. I used to think that they were just where my pubic hairs grew from because on the testicles the hairs do protrude from them. However it has occured to me for the past year or so that it may be more sinister. I didn't want to go to the doctor because I didn't want my parents to find out so now I ask you dear internet is it possible?

I do get colesores about once a year when my immune system is low but I think that they are two different types of herpes. I thought it could be genital warts but I think that can only be received through sexual contact (same with the other type of herpes) I really don't know what the hell it could be unless I'm having sex with strangers in my sleep. All help is appreciated.

  • Should I move to America?

Hi guys. I am an 18 year old currently living in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Over the past couple of years I have lusted for a move to America specifically California or San Diego. I know that I can apply to american colleges and should I get in I would be provided with a student visa to let me live there for a couple of years. My questions are to do with both the cultural and financial differences. I want to know whether you think I would struggle living so far from home, whether £25k would be enough to get me across the water through college and out the other end again and also if I decide at a later date to commit to America is it possible to gain American citizenship without a work permit? What is the process? Any response would be greatly appreciated
