  • Could these problems possibly point to rheumatoid arthritis?

In the past 5 years I have been diagnosed with the following:

    Knee Bursitis and Arthritis

    Hip Bursitis

    Shoulder Tendinitis and Bursitis

    TMJ

    Carpal Tunnel

Sensitivity to cold/skin irritation (random hives, swelling)

    Asthma

(notice a pattern? lots of joint problems)

I am only 31 years old, could stand to lose some weight, but these things are problems I push through and deal with every day. They limit my activity because some times these things flare up and cause a lot of pain. I am planning on going back to my primary physician and asking him if there is anything else we can do to help, but in the meantime I am wondering if I should ask for a referral to a rheumotologist? Any info would be appreciated. (please don't just tell me to talk to my doctor because I will be doing that, I was just looking for more info for now)

  • What is the cheapest car insurance in Wisconsin?

It seems to me that every insurance company out there is claiming to have the lowest rates, etc. In your experience, who has had the cheapest prices? I'm referring to basic car insurance...no frills, just the minimum coverage that is now required in WI?

Thanks (and please dont try to sell me something...I just want some ideas here)

  • Had bad leg cramp, and now feel dizzy...should I worry?

Woke up in the middle of the night with a horrible leg cramp which I never get. Its still sore all morning, and now I am feeling light headed and off balance. I'm not sick, have been drinking plenty of water, and I know I'm not pregnant. Not sure if I should be worried? Any ideas? (besides go to the doctor :P )

  • Guardian Ad Litem-Is she within her boundaries?

Before you all tell me to get a lawyer, know that I am counseling with one, but was hoping to get some answers on here as well. I am in the middle of a custody study/dispute, and a guardian ad litem was assigned. At the moment, we have joint custody and I have full placement by default because he did not show up for the temporary physical placement court date. The comissioner stated that the father is not allowed to bring this issue before the court again without good cause. Now the guardian ad litem is motioning the court to "Amend Temporary and Physical Placement Orders to Effect FCS Observation of Parent-Child Relationship". When I spoke to the guardian ad litem, she told me she was only going to arrange 3 visits with the father and my child so the custody evaluator could observe, but now she is asking the court for consistent, continual visits after that. She has also requested full control to approve the person(s) who will be supervising his visits, despite telling me that this would be conducted at a counseling center in a safe environment. I am VERY concerned by this. There is a history of domestic violence on his part, drug and alcohol abuse, and my child (who is 3 years old) displayed many signs of anxiety and aggression when he had visitation with his father in the past. (He had visitation on weekends for almost a year, but has not seen my child since January-9months) Do I have any legal footing to stand on to object to this? Any legal advice would be very much appreciated.

  • Car accident-Can I make the other person show receipts for the repairs I will pay for?

I backed up into another vehicle this morning. My insurance policy just lapsed so I will be liable. The woman insisted on calling the police, and told them that she will be filing a claim that will cost over 1000 dollars. She was driving a minivan (not brand new, but less than 10 years old), and my tail hitch put a small crack inside the plastic grill area at the bottom of her front end. You can't see the crack unless you push down on the plastic, but she is bound and determined that they will have to replace the whole front end (its one big molded unit). My question is: Is there a way to make her provide receipts for the repairs once I am contacted to pay for this by the insurance company? I am afraid she will just be given a lump of money and I will have to pay for it whether she uses it for repairs or not?

  • Is there a low dose or alternative of Flexeril that won't make me drowsy?

I have a knee injury, deveoloped hip bursitis from limping, and my back has been strained as a result of both. I can take Flexeril at night and it lasts for 12 hours, but it makes me very tired. I also have been taking Ibuprophen for swelling and Percocet as needed for pain. I'm looking for an alternate muscle relaxer to help during the day so I can avoid the Percocet. Any ideas?

  • How to help a hyper 3 year old boy behave at daycare?

My friends son is very active/hyper. He has gotten into trouble at daycare for hitting and even swearing. He has a very sharp memory and if he hears something he remembers it and repeats it, sometimes even months later. I know there is no swearing at the home (not in front of the kids at least!), and his parents are very good at teaching and discipline. He has plenty of siblings to play with, read books, etc. so they are at a loss as to why he is acting out at daycare? Any ideas on keeping him calm and focused?

  • Does taping really help with hip bursitis?

I went to physical therapy yesterday and they put some kind of tape stuff on my hip to help with swelling. Now all the swelling is moving to other areas of my leg and hurts a lot. I think this is what it was supposed to do, but I'm wondering how long this swelling will last for and if the tape was really worth it? Any feedback?
