My apple earbuds always worked on my laptop before, what would happen is I would plug them in and they would just receive the sound in place of the built in speakers. They wouldn't show up as a separate sound device, they would just take control over the speakers icon in the sound menu, I guess. Whatever I did to the normal speakers would change for the earbuds. It was never a problem.

But now all of a sudden yesterday night I couldn't hear out of my earbuds at all on my laptop (even though they worked earlier in the day). They still work on my ipod though.

Also, the speakers on the laptop still work and I also have used a headset on my laptop that still works on it, but it shows up as its own icon in the sound menu. I don't have any idea how to fix this. The earbuds are apple earbuds without a mic. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Whenever I click on edit profile, I check the box for JVM arguments. Then I change the -Xmx1G to -Xmx2G. Whenever I do this, My computer cannot load up Minecraft. I have 4 GB of RAM, so I don't understand why I can't allocate more. I want to allocate more so I can play on more than short. On normal I get around 5-8 fps. Does anyone know what to do or is at least having the same problem?

so I've been watching videos on youtube on the other endings for heavy rain (I got the best on my play through) but I can't find an ending where only Ethan and Jayden go to save Shawn and Madison doesn't. Is it possible to get that ending and if it is can anyone explain/ send a link to a video of it? I don't see why you can't; if Jayden figures out the clues, Madison can't find the address, and Ethan finishes the trials, shouldn't you get that ending?

Ok, so i made everyone on my team loyal, but at the end of the game, mordin dies. no one else does, just him. I had Tali go through the vents, and garrus led the second team. when we met back up i had jack protect my squad from the swarms and had grunt escort the crew back. miranda led the other team. at the end, i had zaeed and kasami in my squad against the final boss. But mordin still died. Since this is the way it worked out, i'm going to keep it this way for mass effect 3. this is the story that i told in this game, so to speak. (wow that was corny) anyway, is there any bad side effect of not having him in mass effect 3? and what would i have to do to make sure everyone lives?

Long story short, the game will play no sound effects of anything around me except for my own gunfire for most of the match in every game mode except tdm. I can hear everything fine in all of my other games, no problems at all. why is this happening? I've seen people have problems with the entire game itself or the voices in campaign, but not basically EVERYTHING in multyplayer only.

I thought it was released back in june. I just bought the season pass yesterday, and episode 2 isn't there. I checked the Playstation store, and it wasn't there either. did I miss something?

This probably won't make much sense, as I have a very difficult time understanding what is going on as well. Basically, I played my instrument in my room, which is air conditioned, and it played everything perfectly. I played it at my school's library, which is air conditioned, and it was perfectly fine. I played it in the school's auditorium, which was hot and humid, and I could not play a single thing below middle C. I could not get notes below the upper G either. (The G that uses the same fingers as middle C with the register key) It felt like something was completely blocking the air. I then went to the library to play and still, those notes didn't work. I left it at home in my room over night, where it is air conditioned, and played it the next day. It worked with no problems at all. I have no idea what could cause this. The only thing I could think of is that the pads expanded from the humidity and caused a leak. I used the mouthpiece on someone else's clarinet and it worked fine. I had my teacher play on my horn and it was very difficult for him to get out the notes below C. does anyone know what this could possibly be?

I went to gamestop about two weeks ago and pre-ordered black ops 2. I got an MW3 prestige token redemption code. When I typed in the promo code to get the extra stuff they are giving away for pre-ordering black ops 2, I was asked my redemption code. I typed it in but it said to try again later. So I tried again today (it expires 6/30/12) and I had to type in the promo code again, but it said that my promo code was already used, and I can't get to the redemption code screen any more. Can anyone help? that token would help me out right now.

Long story short, I played on my PS3 CoD MW3 and I have at least a quarter second delay with every action despite having 4 bars and can't play it anymore. I'm just wondering if BF3 has the same issues or not. Also, how realistic is it? It's weird how I can fire a sniper rifle when the wind is clearly blowing and it hit right where I aimed in MW3.

this has been happening ever since the last update. In every single match I play in (on PS3) At least 9 out of the 12 people in the lobby have a three bar connection or worse. I am always a part of those 9. It's driving me crazy. I'm sick of the game for this and never want to touch CoD again because of it. Is Infinity ward and Sledgehammer going to fix this? Because if not, I'm abandoning CoD and never looking back.

Also, does Battlefield 3 have these issues too? I heard that they have dedicated servers, so I imagine it won't, but I would still like some confirmation on that.

When I play a match now in MW3, at least 9 people on the lobby have a three bar connection or worse. It seems completely random whether or not I have a 3 or 4 bar connection. (It's normally 3, but sometimes four.) It's wrecking the game because it's so laggy. There's at least a quarter second delay with anything I do involving killing. But it's in every match and 8 of the other people have issues too. And sometimes everyone is at 3 bars. Anyone have any idea why or what's wrong? I play on a PS3.

Okay, so I had my PS3 hooked up to an SDTV and it was perfectly fine. The system was pumping out 480i graphics, which was all the tv could handle. I recently just bought an Insignia 1080p HD tv. I hooked my PS3 up to it, but it won't play any of my games in 1080p. It keeps resetting to 480i. I tried fixing the problem in the display settings, but whenever I selected something more than standard, the tv would say no signal and would eventually reset back to 480i. I've heard of this with 720 p tvs, but this tv is a 1080p tv, so I don't know what's wrong. Help?

I have a PS3, so I can't play the first. I'm just curious if I can choose if Shepard killed them off or not. I hope so, especially since in the demo for ME3 you can choose whether you save Ashley (or the other person whose name I can't remember.) In the demo for ME2, they chose for me: the council died. And I would have saved them. Is the game going to let me choose or not?

Ok, so I have a low level enchanting skill but decided to add some shock and frost enchantments on my weapons. I have a legendary glass sword, legendary glass bow, and a legendary glass dagger. I found all three in the world and improved them with a blacksmith's drought at a grindstone. However, when I go to enchant them, I get 12 points of damage added to the dagger and the bow and they keep their legendary status and damage. But my sword loses its legendary status and goes from 34 damage to 19 damage. I don't have the arcane smithing perk, but why would it work on two items and not the other?

This is what happened. I walked into dragonsreach and everyone just started to attack me. I did NOTHING to provoke them. I literally just walked in and everyone attacked me. My lifetime bounty is 0, so I don't know what happened. Can anyone help?

I started up a new game on the Ps3, and when I get put on the block instead of Alduin landing on the tower and stopping my execution, he just flies around the city and i'm just sitting there. Any suggestions?

I was able to play all day, I stopped for about 3 hours, came back, and it said that I've been signed out of Playstation Network. I have it set to leave me logged in. so, I went to sign in, it said signing in, then said that I've been signed back out again. The error code is 80710D36. I have no idea what's wrong with it at all.

I've been playing black ops on the wii, and I've had all 4 green bars next to my profile on the in game score board since I got the game to yesterday. Now it's going between 1 and 2. It's REALLY affecting my game. I've gone from 20/7 to 5/18 and I've had 5 disconnections in the past 2 hours AND the game told me numerous times when I tried to play at first that it couldn't connect to the servers. Why would this happen?

I need it to get omastar for battling in the rarely used teir on wifi.
