I'm having pain in my upper and lower gums on the left side of my face and sometimes it feels as if the roots of my teeth are on fire and that side of my face is constantly throbbing.

My charger doesn't appear to be charging my laptop, there's a light on the actual charger when it's plugged in, but my laptop is not registering the charge, nothing happens, there's no light to say it's charging and no icon appears to verify that the laptop is actually charging.
We had a power shortage last night while it was charging, unfortunately it wasn't plugged into a surge protector, could this have contributed to this problem?
