  • Prize ideas for (at home) Ugly sweater party.?

Need inexpensive prize ideas for the winner. We are also playing dirty santa in which many gag gifts will be exchanged and I was thinking maybe a gag gift would be fitting for the winner to go along with the rest of the night. This is a friends and family event. Any suggestions?

  • Paying Ex spouse tax debt?

I was divorced from my ex in november of 2006. After our divorce my ex gave voluntarily repossesion of vehicle on which we were both named on the lease. My ex was responsible for the vehicle through our divorce decree. I filed my tax return for 2007 seperately, as we were long gone divorced. Apparently, my ex did not pay the taxes towards this repossed vehicle and now they are trying to collect it from me on my 07 return even though its a debt from 06 and I was completely unaware that he did not pay the balance on the vehicle or the taxes. I was also never contacted regarding this from the financial company the loan was through. Can I file equitable relief on this debt? Or any ideas of how this should be handled? I do not feel that I am responsible (although i know the decree means nothing)! Why even bother with it!

  • Anyone suffered with rare Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma?

I have a family member who was recently diagnosed with this form of rare cancer. She is currently battling with the university of washington in Seattle to pay for treatment. She has no insurance and they want 80k up front before they will begin treatment. Even though they have told her that she cannot wait to start radiation due to the severity of this cancer and its survival rate. Funny how now they can put an 80k price tag on her life. She may have a 5 year life span if this is treated right away. Saddest part is that she is only 35 years old and has a husband and four children at home. So any advice or someone who is familiar with this would be appreciated. Thankyou

  • Question for RT's out there?

Why is the training for sleep medicine so brief in respiratory therapy schooling? Considering there is much to do with ventilation in sleep apnea, I am actually somewhat suprised at how many RT's are uneducated in sleep medicine. I realize that you really only recieve brief training in the field on this and I am wondering if this is something that is going to be more of a focus as the field of sleep is expanding.
