  • What's the rule or law about leaf pick up when your neighbor's leaves fall on your yard?

I usually keep my yard cleaned up well, but every year my neighbor's Maple tree drops a kit 3/4 of it's leaves in my yard. So who is responsible for cleaning this up each year? Is it me since the leaves are on my property?

  • Anyone ever use the Dave Ramsay system?

I agree with some of what he says regarding money management, but not all. He did tell a caller who was a resident physician that he wouldn't make $200K a year and that's absolutely false! So while he has some good thoughts and ideas, he's also factually wrong sometimes too so that's a problem...at least for me.

  • What are your thoughts on investing money on those online sites like TD- Ameritrade, Vanguard, etc.? ?

Are those safe venues or is it better to use the wealth management services of your preferred bank? Or is Edward Jones a better option?

  • If you're getting Social Security, will you stop receiving it once you've used what you put in?

So if you're getting Social Security disability payments, could it theoretically run out? For example, if you worked 15 years and put in $10,000 of SS money (I'm making up the number), then after receiving $10,000 if disability payments, would that person then get cutoff from their payment?

  • What's the length of time it took to get used to the people at your new job?

I recently left a terrible job, but the people and my team were amazing. I'm glad I left the job, but hated leaving the people. We were all very close. How I miss my formerr coworkers!

  • Is it OK to tell her that you still care abut her even if you're not friends anymore?

Had a friend who I ended up "cutting out" because things got weird. It wasn't romantic weird but I realized that I just shouldn't be hanging around with her anymore. Everything devloved over time but we still come in contact some and it's still weird. I'm moving soon. Do I tell her I still care for her? It was the right decision for bother of us to part ways.

  • What's the best way to make invites for these selected guests?

I'm about to switch jobs and wanted to have some co-workers over for some appetizers and drinks. However, I only want to invite a selected few and only about 2/3 of the people in my current department. You see, I don't get along with everyone in my department. Honestly, I don't even want to invite my boss. What's the best and appropriate way to invite only the people I would like to invite?

I will be transitioning roles in my workplace. More responsibility and visibility. Bosses have given direction on their vision and expectations. Do i just use their words when I ask for the additional pay?

  • What do you do about the office suck up?

Co worker consistently sucks up to the bosses when they come around. All of the bosses are great. They stop by our office and sit and chat briefly to catch up. But every time they come around to her, it's like she primping and posing for them, laughng loudly at their jokes, cracking jokes with them, even inviting them out for lunch. And sometimes the bisses pll me in with het and you can see how big she smiles and draws attention to herself. She'll even talk to the other members of the team about how she went out with the bosses for drinks or had lunch with them previously, etc. Granted, she's easy on the eyes and very social, but I find it a bit shady. Lately, I find it annoying and very fake.

  • How do you deal with flaky people?

I've got a co worker friend who I've come to realize is really flaky. She flaked on me once and it caused turbulence in our friendship. We got past it and now all is forgiven, but I see how she really is flaky also in her behavior patterns. I guess I just let those things pass since we were good friends then, but after the flaking episode, which still irritates me when I think about it, her flaws seem amplified. There are days I do get irritated because flaking is rude and disrespectful so I typically just keep my mouth shut and maintain a good working relationship, but there are times that it is hard to keep my comments to myself. I do keep my mouth shut so I don't upset the working relationship any more. I should

also mention that I know I'm not perfect either.

  • Is it bad that I don't want to event look at or be around a female coworker friend who flaked out on me for a get together?

Female co worker friend. We're fairly close, we are both married and absolutely platonic. No problems from either of our spouses. Flaking out on me is my deal breaker and it's happened several times already due to her just not showing up. I almost expected it this time and it did happen. Currently, I can't stand to be around her or even look at her. After she apologized, she said, "You haven't said a word to me and you can't even look at me." Shouldnt I get some time to cool off too?

  • What's the best way to resolve this issue?

I have fence built with an 18 inch setback from the property line. My neighbor is consistently mowing, trimming, etc passed the property line...and then some. I've had the property surveyed and the line marked, but yet he continues. I think he even pulled the wooden survey stakes out of the ground that the surveyors put in. Unfortunately no proof of this. Anyway, what's the best way to ask him to stay on his side of the property. The only reason this is an issue is because he's not a very good neighbor and when he does go past the property line, it makes my property look small. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks!

  • Can I put new survey stakes on my property since someone removed them?

I recently had my property surveyed and the surveyors put in some stakes with the orange ribbon to mark the property line. Someone pulled those stakes out, but before they did that I was able to measure where the property line was. So, am I legally allowed to remeasure the property line points and put in some new stakes marking the property line?

  • what is the best way to pay your credit cards to maximize your credit score?

Is it better to pay off your credit card statement in full each month or should you leave a small balance each month, like $5? I've heard conflicting things. For example, paying each bill in full is better for your credit score versus leaving a $5 dollar balance. I've heard leaving a (small) balance is supposed to show that you know how to pay off a debt and help your credit score even more. I don't know what to believe. Your thoughts?

we have a laptop with a dvd burner. it's been great to burn lots of data to one disc like pictures and home movies. they make great gifts to our parents. but the thought hit me- if i can burn home movies and pictures and such, isn't it theoretically possible to burn a dvd movie to a blank dvd with my laptop? i wouldn't even know how to do this as i have just mastered putting my home videos on a dvd. i am not so good with computers...lol!
