My divorce was final almost 2 weeks ago and before the court date my lawyer sent me a final copy to look over before it was sent out. I noticed a few mistakes and let them know and was told they would be fixed. I never saw another copy until just getting the final copy after the divorce was made final 2 weeks ago and only one mistake was fixed. The final paper allows my ex to claim our daughter every year for taxes once he is caught up with support when it should say he can claim her every other year for taxes once he is caught up. I don't think this will ever be an issue since he wants nothing to do with her and doesn't pay support but in the rare case that he does get caught up someday I don't think it's fair that he gets to claim her every single year. I've heard you have 30 days to go back to court to try and amend something but don't know if this is true and if so do I just have to file the papers and obtain a court date within 30 days or do I actually have to be physically seen by the judge before the 30 days is up. Also, how do I do this and what kind of form do I need? I can't seem to find any answers regarding how to fix this and it seems like such an easy fix. I'd have my lawyer fix it but I cannot keep affording to pay $300/hour for something that could be simple. Not to mention I'm upset with them for not fixing these errors and also adding a clause to my decree asking permission from the judge to be able to sue me if I haven't paid them in full in the next 30 days despite them verbally telling me as long as I keep making payments like I've been doing they are fine with that. So I don't even know if they can legally add something to my final divorce papers without my knowledge. Also, I don't know if it makes a difference but I do have the email with the "final copy" they sent me which I can provide to show that it tells me it's the final copy however, it doesn't match the one they gave to the judge in court.

I saw that the changes I requested weren't made and he added a clause requesting permission from the judge to have the right to sue me if I'm not paid in full within the next 30 days. They verbally had told me several times as long as I continued to keep making payments I'd be ok since this case has cost over $15,000 and everything has been paid except about $2,500-$3,000 from this last court date. I'm a single mom getting no support only working part time while I'm back in school so I don't have this money upfront but I can keep making payments no problem. Anyways, my real question is do they have the legal right to add a clause like this into my final divorce decree without my prior knowledge? I live in Illinois.

I received a letter in the mail yesterday that I thought was from my old apartment complex because it had their name and address in the return address spot. However when I opened it up it was not from them but it was from a person trying to serve my husband with a notice to appear in court for some other issue. Is this legal to send those kinds of papers in the mail and write somebody else's business and address in the return address area or is this considered mail fraud? I would appreciate any info anybody has.

We have 3 female cats, they are all healthy, been spayed, and have no bladder infections or anything else wrong with them. One of them is peeing outside of the litter box constantly. I have tried everything. I clean the litter box constantly, we have tried every type of litter and litter box we could find, I've used every product including natures miracle and it's still happening every day. We aren't 100% sure which cat is doing it but have a good idea who it is and she uses the box sometimes but not others. She is only 2 years old and we don't want to get rid of her because the place where we rescued her said she probably won't find a home that's willing to take her because of the problem and we love her so much. I just can't take the smell anymore, we can't even invite people over anymore and have had to throw good furniture and clothing out because of the pee. Does anybody have any suggestions of something I havent tried. Thanks for any help!!!

Also, does anybody know what kind of benefits they offer. I heard they are a good place to work because they are employee owned but I cannot find any info. about them. Any info about starting wage, benefits and anything else about working there would be appreciated.
