I am a passionate basketball fan from Europe, but I watch NBA mostly...huge Celtics fan but I try to keep it real when I give answers.
Do people here think Jacob Prime has any credibility?
Reminder that he said IT is not a top 10 PG in the NBA and he would take Bledsoe, Hill, Conley and Walker over him lmao
2 AnswersBasketball4 years agoHow did the 11th best PG in the game win Eastern Conference Player of the month?
There are atleast 10 PGs in the NBA I would rather have on my Celtics
3 AnswersBasketball4 years agoDoes Jacob Prime still think Isaiah Thomas is not a top 10 PG in the league?
I mean he is only 2nd in the entire league in scoring and 1st out of all players in 4th quarter scoring.
I can easily name 10 better Point Guards than him
2 AnswersBasketball4 years agoIT just became the 4th player in NBA history to score 44+ Pts on 16 or less shots?
Who are the other 3?
2 AnswersBasketball4 years agoSo when is Marc Davis finally getting fired?
Rockets 76 FG attempts...38 of those from 3 = 31 Free Throws
Celtics 98 FG attempts...32 of those from 3 = 12 Free Throws
James Harden alone took 6 more Free Throws than the entire Celtics team. At the half the Free Throw disparity was 20-2 in favor of Houston. Boston finished the game with more points in the paint.
1 AnswerBasketball4 years agoDid Richard Nixon try to criminalize blacks and hippies so they cant vote for the democrats?
By making cocaine and weed illegal and turning them into felons?
Or is this just a conspiracy theory?
8 AnswersPolitics4 years agoIs Marc Davis the worst referee in the NBA?
Really enjoyed how he ruined the BOS vs SAS game...happy we got a total of 2 free throws in the 2nd half :)
Not like our Point Guard averages 10 FTAs per game and the most drives to the rim out of any player.
3 AnswersBasketball4 years agoShould Division Title matter for playoff seeding?
Last year there was alot of controversy when Portland got the the 4th seed for winning their Division despite having only the 6th best record in the league which led to a first round series between the Clippers and Spurs (both had better records than Portland). As a result Division Winnners no longer get an automatic 4th seed, however Miami still got a huge advantage from winning their division. For anyone who doesn't know, Miami, Atlanta, Boston and Charlotte all finished the season 48-34 and Miami ended up with the 3 seed as the southeastern division winner.
Now as a Celtics fan, I don't really mind not having homecourt and facing Atlanta in the 1st round (even though both Charlotte and Miami are easier matchups for us) but I find it pretty weird that a team we swept the season series against (3-0) wins the tiebreaker over us.
What are your thoughts?
1 AnswerBasketball5 years agoWhy do people underrate Hakeem so much?
He is arguably the greatest Center of all time and a lock for the top 3 yet some people don't even mention him in their top 5...
I wonder if those people are aware of the fact that Hakeem played in the era with the toughest competition for any bigmen and he outplayed all of them. He dominated Kareem in 1986. He destroyed Ewing in the 94 finals holding him to 19 Points per game, he outplayed first Stockton and Malone and then Charles Barkley in the 95 Playoffs before embarrassing reigning MVP David Robinson and Dennis Rodman in the WCF. In the Finals he swept Shaq.
Hakeem's 94 and 95 Rockets are 2 out of only 6 teams to win a title with just 1 Allstar on their roster and his ring in 1994 was and still remains the only time anyone won a championship without another Hall of Famer or Allstar by his side. The only finals he lost was vs a super stacked Celtics team in 1986, considered by many to be one of the greatest teams of all time.
The Dream could score at will and against everyone while his defense was that good that he is still number 1 in career blocks while also being in the top 10 for steals (only Center). He also has the 3rd highest Blocks per game career average behind only the 2 specialists Mark Eaton and Manute Bol but ahead of guys like Mutombo.
5 AnswersBasketball5 years agoShould opposing teams just roll out a red carpet...?
and walk to the side while Lebron drives the lane?
You are not allowed to get close to him there anyway.
1 AnswerBasketball5 years agoWhats your stance on the plus/minus stat?
Useful to determine a player's impact on a team? Nonsense?
I am interested to hear the illustrious Yahoo Answers Basketball section's opinion on this.
1 AnswerBasketball5 years agoWhat does it tell you about the status of the game...?
...when a guy can score 32 Points on 6 made Field Goals?
Talking about Isaiah Thomas last night, he shot 6-14 but finished with 32 points, that's even hard to accomplish for James Harden. Can we just go back to letting teams play defense? Celtics and Wizards combined for 72 free throws last night.
3 AnswersBasketball5 years agoDoes Isaiah Thomas deserve to be an Allstar?
There is no doubt that he won't be one this year with Kyrie already having the most votes and guys like Wall, Butler, Lowry and Derozan who have a much higher reputation so they will be nominated by the coaches instead of IT. But do you feel he would deserve it from a performance standpoint? Dude is averaging 21 and 7 with 1.5 Steals per game. He is the best Free Throw shooter (while getting to the line alot) and has the 2nd most Assists per game in the East. In 19 out of 31 games he scored atleast 20 points and he only had 1 game with less than 10 points, so he is a very consistent (albeit not super efficient) scorer.
2 AnswersBasketball5 years agoCan we swap out the referees in the Celtics vs Warriors game?
Honestly ridiculous....nothing against the Dubs, they are a fantastic team but that officiating is unbelieveably onesided towards them.
2 AnswersBasketball5 years agoHow bad must it feel for Blake Griffin to get posterized by KG like that?
KG is 39 years old rofl...
2 AnswersBasketball5 years agoIs D-Wade the biggest crybaby that ever stepped on an NBA court?
Every game my Celtics play vs Miami I always get extremely mad seeing him complain to the refs for 48 straight mins...yesterday was another prime example...why don't the refs just eject him?
5 AnswersBasketball6 years agoCeltics are gonna win 52 games...who is with me?
Said it before the season started, Celts are gonna win 50+ games...making this question now so I can go back on it later and say "I told you so" at the end of the season
