  • Dog coat, do you know where I can get this particular style?

Ok so to explain... Im looking for a dog coat that has a T shaped section that goes between his front legs and Velcro’s on either side of his body (like a baby nappy?).

Not one that Velcro’s across his chest and on one side of his body like this: http://www.dog-online.co.uk/images/green...

We have one similar to that above but he only pulls it off and then wrestles with it lol.

Im in Australia and its winter here. The only ones I can find are those above then someone mentioned the T-shaped dog coat.

    Any suggestions?

  • Is your dog afraid of thunder, lightning or rain?

Mine isnt, but a lot of other people I know have to give their dogs Doggy Valium to calm them down during a storm.

  • How to stop a biting puppy?

My puppy has just started to bite my arms or hands when ever I go out to see him. I have tried saying no/ouch/argh, I also ignore him until he sits before patting him, and even though I hate doing it I tap him on the nose if it’s harder than normal!

Im moving back home in a few weeks and need to stop this behaviour as my parents neighbours all have small children and they tend to come over to swim in our pool without asking (yes I know bad idea... potential drowning in the making, but we have addressed that with their parents. Thankfully its winter now so they don’t come over as much).

Any tips on how to stop the biting though?

We are attending dog obedience classes and I try to do regular training sessions with him during the week.

  • Raw diet, simple meat ratio?

Im moving interstate in a few weeks and Ive arranged to transport my puppy (6 months) and 2 kittens (4 and 7 months) over before I leave. My mum is going to be looking after them for about 2 weeks until I leave and arrive over there.

Ive been feeding raw for a few weeks now and am still learning the quantities/ratio of meat-bone-organ. I tend to buy in bulk, separate into smaller bags then freeze when I get home for each meal for the week(s) ahead.

Can anyone suggestion a simple ratio of meat-bone-organ (in kgs ONLY) that I can tell my mum to buy for my pup per week? I don’t want to explain the % ratios to her… it’s just too confusing – Ive already tried and it ended in an argument.

Puppy is a 6 month old of Staffy x Kelpie, weighs approx 18.5kgs. We have tried; chicken, beef, bit of kangaroo and mutton – meat, bones, and organs of each. Id like to keep it as simple as possible. Any suggestions?

I’ve only recently started introducing the kittens, Id rather not confuse mum with all the math so they can go back to pet food for a few weeks.

  • Do you feed raw? Im very curious to hear what you feed your dog!?

Ok, Ive been feeding raw now for about 2 months. Without giving me the exact ratio/quantities - how much and often do you feed your dog? What is his/her age and breed?

    Ill start off:

    - Breed: Staffy x Kelpie, 6 months

    - He is fed twice a day

Meals: 1 meaty bone (chicken, beef/lamb neck, kangaroo tail etc), with some mince (depends on how much meat is on bone, but usually a handful) with another smaller half handful of organs (liver, giblets, kidney etc).

Do you mix up your meats? Sometimes Ill give him chicken with lamb for example.

Also, is it true Kangaroo is high in iron?

  • Is there a website I can go to that shows Australian Maps with the following options?

    - Multi destination stops

    - Fuel stops

    - Food stops

    - Rest breaks

Im travelling from Perth, WA to Gladstone, Qld (across country) and am trying to prepare myself. As I know when you cross the Nullabour there arent too many breaks etc
