My mare is on 24/7 pasture board and I've noticed since I've had her on pasture board that she has small nicks and tiny scrapes on her legs, butt, neck. Just typical for a horse on pasture board?

Is it alright to make exceptions to not eat along that line? For example, having a bbq tomorrow is it ok to eat little of the food that may be there like a hamburger or hotdog...?

I weigh 155 and am 5'6, looking to get in shape and get out of my lazy ways. Need help in those areas I just listed. Hopefully will shed 30 lbs in a few months. Any other advice would help?

Our living room walls are a light color originally and we have decided to paint one wall a dark color. I've seen people do two walls a darker color but the usually touch. It is a square room that I am painting... The one wall on the left is the new dark color, would it look ok to do the opposite wall the same color as well or do how I've seen before when they paint two walls that touch?

I assume it is safe since it is only a velcro closure but I could be wrong...

If it IS safe, do you usually just leave it on from morning until evening?

looking for opinions on the way my new saddle fits, if it looks right or not. I know there's issue with the gullet on the withers. also, I have never used a bit before so don't know how far in the mouth it should be. someone told me, 'far enough up for the horse to look like it's smiling.' so does the bit look right in my horses' mouth? 1. Is the bit. 2. Is of the saddle from the left. 3. Is of the saddle from the front, it sits down on the withers no matter what gullet width I use on my horse. :/ 4. Is of the saddle from the back, it's sits up off her when I'm not in the saddle, I assume because it's cinched in the front and not the back. 5. Is of the saddle from the right.

I have just recently bought a new saddle I am able to try it out and return it if I need to but I'm pretty confused. There is no saddle fitter within 4 hours of where I live so that's not an option and I have to deal with this on my own unfortunately...

1.) my old saddle had a 6" gullet and my new saddle has a 5" gullet, both sit on my horses withers. I also tried my friends saddle with a 6 and 1/2" gullet and also sat on the withers. How do I fix this if I can? Do I just add another saddle pad and pray that makes it better?

2.) when I look at the saddle from standing behind my horse the skirt kind of sits up away from my horse (when I'm not in it) b/c I think the pitch is flatter to suit a wider horse like a QH and I have a semi-narrow TB that still needs to gain some muscle so will this be ok for now since she still has room to grow?

3.) I've heard that after you ride your horse for a good bit of time and untack, if there are some unsweaty spots that this is b/c of poor circulation and an ill fitting saddle. COULD it just be that way since it's not sweaty where it doesn't really sit on her (like I mentioned in above question...)?

If ANYONE is knowledgeable with western saddles and fitting PLEASE include your email in your answer so we can speak on IM or something. I've been having so many issues for a good month now and am real confused. :(

I got a steam burn on my forearm two weekends ago and it is started to heal up now, not much longer before it's completely healed... But it's been REALLY itchy, I know when things heal they itch but it's red and is kind of bumpy and since it's a circle it reminds me of ring worm.... Is it possible to get ring worm while you have an open wound ( a burn.) ? Or is this just normal burn healing?

I've never had a burn like this before so I have no idea what to expect... :(

I've only ever used a hackamore and with my new horse I am needing to buy a bit, a broken snaffle is what she's been used with.

Do bits come in different sizes? Like # sizes?

Or is it like when you buy a halter, either horse or pony size?

looking for a '99 - '01 small to medium size SUV or car.

I have a saddle with semi quarter horse bars and a 6" gullet on my narrow on top, wide in the ribs TB with high withers. I was told that after a long ride if there are dry spots that this is from the saddle cutting off circulation therefore being ill fitting. Can this cause bad damage?

Also I read an article where it says if the gullet is more narrow it sits up higher off the horse? Is this correct?

For an correct fitting saddle, you want the saddle to sit up off the horse kind of?

I have a yellow lab and I know it'd look a little ridiculous but despite trying to treat her, our other dog and the house she's still covered. I think I'm going to shave her completely and then it'd be easier to see the fleas and treat her and the house and other dog once again.

Would this work in helping her get rid of fleas?

Also does anyone recommend a good outdoor treatment?
