  • I'm looking for the name of a specific little known restaurant in Northern Indiana?

I'm dying to know the name of a restaurant, but don't know how to search since I don't even know what city it's in. I remember every detail about this place except for it's name and location. A while back, I met a coworker in passing who has since left Indianapolis. She raved about a hole in the wall restaurant about an hour, maybe an hour and a half, north of Indianapolis. She said that this restaurant is nothing to look at from the outside and so is not even well known in it's native city. It's apparently owned by a guy who made it big in the computer industry or stocks or something like that and who now owns a restaurant where he cooks just for the fun of it. The catch, he only serves one party for lunch and one party for dinner. He'll make multiple courses and bring them out to you and your guests (as the only patrons in the entire place). You bring your own alcohol. Its approx $20 per person for lunch, $35 per person for dinner. The name of this place is two words: I think an adjective followed by a guy's name. Does anyone know what restaurant I'm talking about?

  • Funny things that your babies do?

My 10 mo old son loves to drink bath water. He drinks water during the day as well as mixed in with his formula and he has plenty of wet diapers, so it's not a dehydration issue. But if you put him near any body of water, be it in the tub, in the pool, or near the doggy bowl, he'll bend over and try to take a drink. I'm not sure how to get him to stop, my daughter did the same thing at that age, and has since stopped. Just in case, we're staying away from the beach for now. =)

  • Ear infection in a 9 mo old that won't go away. Help plz!?

My 9 mo old son goes to daycare, so as you can imagine, he's constantly exposed to all sorts of bugs. He got his first ear infection (bilateral) a month ago that was treated with amoxicillin. A week following the end his 10 day antibiotic course, he starting fussing again and was found to have bilateral ear infections, pink eye, and a cold. I'm not sure whether the infection didn't go away the first time or if he was unfortunate enough to get two infections in such a short period of time since Feb-Mar are big sick months in general. He was given omnicef this time. Two days after he finished treatment, he was found to STILL have bilateral infections and is now on day 2 of augmentin out of 10. If this doesn't work, what's the next step? Do doctors go to IV antibiotics or ear drainage or do we try another oral antibiotic? I've also read things about food allergies, but he's currently on similac alimentum since he has a milk protein allergy. And he's not a big table food eater either since he has reflux.

  • Could my 22 month old have viral-induced asthma? And how do you test for it?

My daughter has always been a chronic cougher from birth. Not anything serious, but I've noticed that she'll cough sporadically in her sleep a few times a night and during the day while playing. It's only a problem when she has a cold or upper respiratory infection. During those times, she starts coughing for a few minutes straight until she vomits. And she's not doing it on purpose, she just can't seem to stop. It worsens when she's laying down trying to sleep so as you can imagine, whenever she has a cold, we're changing her bedsheets for her daytime nap and 1-2x overnight daily. Also, and again, only if she has a cold, if she's running around (for example, chasing another child around the couch), then she'll start coughing and it'll worsen the more energy she exerts. I've asked my pediatrician about my daughter possibly having an atypical form of asthma (coughing only happens in 10% of pediatric asthma cases), but surprise surprise, she currently has a cold so the doctor can't do any testing. So we have an appointment for next Thursday when the pediatrician plans on doing an xray to see whether my daughter has an inflammation and swelling. Is that the right test to be doing?
