Just wondering... Might be moving a couple hours away where I'm not going to know anybody. Thinking about finding a roomie.... Already checked Craigslist, but it doesn't show the people and only some give out very little info... checked myspace but the city I may be going to isn't listed.

I know it may sound a little foolish and this usually isn't my style but I just wanna look at my options

I'm a vet tech and I actually landed an interview at a zoo... I was really surprised that they considered me since I haven't had much experience with exotic animals.

I'm super excited! I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high because I know how incredibly competitive these job openings are...

This is a phone interview, by the way.

I'm just wondering what questions they'll be asking. Like, are they going to ask me all sorts of wild-life trivia!? Because I'm honestly not all that familiar with wild-life, but if I got the job I would be commited 110% to learning all that I possibly could. Are they going to expect me to know a lot about exotic animals (most of the stuff you learn in school is geared toward dogs and cats and some farm animals) or do they already assume most vet techs coming in to the field are going to have to learn a lot?

How many people do you think they called for a phone interview?

Thinking about trying 'em... Just wanted to hear some stories. How bad does it mess you up? (I've learned that most drugs are completely over-rated...) How are the hallucinations?

Just wondering if they'll make me lose complete touch with reality or if I'll still have self-control. I don't wanna try to fly out of a building or anything.

I'm 23 years old, and am a vet tech. I started a new job recently, and I like everything about it, but my boss seems to hate me. He's never very friendly to anyone, but he seems to pick at me more than anybody else and it really bothers me. I can handle constructive crtisism, but when I'm being talked down to like I'm a moron, it makes me dread going to work. Other people seem to handle it ok and tell me not to take it personally, but I really think that he dislikes me... I can't be happy living with that. It's been 6 months and he hasn't warmed up to me at all. They just hired another tech 2 weeks ago and he already talks to her like a human being. I don't feel comfortable talking with him about this... I need to feel like my boss appreciates and wants me to be there, not like I'm a burden. I already have low self esteem and he makes it worse. I try my best but it doesn't seem to be good enough. I don't know what to do. Am I just being too picky? Should I look again?

Ok, so I'm a vet tech... and I graduated 2 years ago.

During my last quarter, I interned at a humane society and I absolutely LOVED it. They offered me a job then, but I was completely stupid and turned it down because I had already commited to another job... It only took me a couple months to realize that I had made a huge mistake and I've literally missed it there everyday since I left.

Well, a year passed, and I was fed up with the current job, so I wrote the humane society a letter of interest. The head vet called me the next day, and told me that she'd hire me in a second if she had an opening, but there were none at the time. She was moving away, but assured me that she'd leave my resume with the director of the humane society with her strongest recommendation to hire me.

Almost a year has passed again, and they still aren't hiring, but do you think that I should write another letter to let them know I'm still very interested and just in case my resume is no longer there?

I was just wondering if you could find it in your average grocery store, maybe a craft store?

Or do any manufacturers even make colored macaroni anymore? (I remember seeing it as a kid)...

And if nobody makes it, whats the best way to go about coloring it yourself? I want the noodles to stay dry...

This may seem like a dumb question... and by the way, I'm 22 not 14.

My previous obgyn that I went to since I was 16 or so was ALSO a family physician... so when I'd go for my yearly pap, she'd also do the routine physical - listen to my heart lungs, etc.

I never really liked the practice, so I made an appointment at strictly an obgyn practice. Will they do the routine stuff too, or do I have to find another doctor for that?

My mom always said that I should go every 2 years, but is that accurate?

I sure did...

I never really know what to get my boyfriend (guys are difficult!) so I decided to attempt to make dinner, which is a HUGE thing for me, since I never cook... Anyways, it actually turned out pretty well.

And then he comes home, and doesn't have anything in hand. I know it's stupid and shallow but I got really sad. I wasn't going to say anything because I didn't want to start a fight over something dumb, but he could tell I was upset and badgered me to tell him what was wrong. Then he got all pissed and yelled at me for about 20 minutes and then drove off somewhere.

Mentioned how he was "planning" stuff for me but didn't have time because work was so hectic today...

I just wanted to spend a nice relaxing Valentine's eve with him... but now I'm all alone and depressed :(

I seriously hate Valentine's day. It ALWAYS sucks.
