14 AnswersMotorcycles3 years agoWhat are Wal-Mart's "freight charges? How much?
Wal-Mart is now advertising "free shipping". I was thinking about ordering a large (180 lbs) item but there is this unexpressed "freight charge" that appears to be separate from shipping. What is the likely amount of this "freight charge"? If it's $20 I don't really care, but if it's $200 I do...
4 AnswersCorporations4 years agoWhat is the relationship between the gods of ancient Greece and Rome and the planets named after those gods?
As I understand it, the ancient Romans assigned to the planets the names that we now use (Venus, Mars, Jupiter, etc). Were the planets just named in honor of those gods, or did they (the Romans) believe that the planets WERE the gods themselves?

They sent me a catalog but all I see in it is furniture, rugs, etc. I need to buy some flower pots/planters but don't want to make a trip over there if they don't have those items.
1 AnswerHobbies & Crafts7 years agoWhat do you call the little screen on a laptop computer that functions as an alternative to the mouse?
The little rectangular area in front of the space bar with two buttons at the bottom - you move your fingers around on it and it serves the same function as the mouse - what's that thingy called? Mine is not working and I need to figure out how to fix it but since I don't know what it's called I can't look it up.
4 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks7 years agoWhat is happening in our office?
We are watching a strange phenomena today inside our office building. There is an interior window (a security window that you can only see through clearly from one side) which is developing a strange film that resembles the frost pattern you see on your automobile windows during the winter. In other words, crystalline-looking growths that are spreading across the glass very slowly. The crystals can be rubbed off with a paper towel and moderate pressure. What's happening? We have never observed this before and the temperature is a normal office temperature (approx 70 fahrenheit degrees).
