  • Why do people look down on young moms or a young family?

I'm 21, and my husband is 22, we have an adorable 10 month old son. We are college graduates and very financially stable(even bought a house last year, on our own, with no help!) I have an associates degree in nursing and just became a RN. My husband is the VP of a small company, but his income provides us with more than enough money for me to be a stay at home mom, which i'm doing now that I completed school! We don't live off of the government and never have. We really want a large family and would like 5 children by the time we're 30! We want to have or start trying for our second child within the next year or so. I know society will look down on us for having 2 children at the age of 23. Why is this? I feel like I am no different than a 30 year old, to me age is just a number.

  • My husband and I are youg and just bought a house, our friends are jealous!?

My husband and I bought a house about a year ago just before our son was born. I am 21 he is 22. We are both educated, and he has a great job! We just bought our first house, it's about 1600 sq ft, nothing too fancy, but it's nice to us! Our friends have been rude to us ever since, and we havent talked to them much since we bought the house and our son was born, are they jealous? I dont understand why it matters, they chose to date and have fun, my husband and I chose marriage and an education. Does anyone have an experience from their point of view, maybe you have a friend you envy or is more successful? I just hate tip toeing around and watching what I say in front of them because we have things they don't.

  • I am 21 and have an 8 month old baby, do you think it's too soon to try for another baby?

My husband and I have been together for 5 years(married for 2) and have a beautiful 8 month old son! I have really got the urge lately to want to start planning our next child. I would really like to start trying for another one in the next year or so! We want 5 kids and I would like to have them all before I'm 30! Is it wrong thatI want 2 kids by the time I'm 23? I know people, including many of my friends will look down on me for having another baby so soon, but my husband and I are financially independent (We just bought our first house a year ago, Have reliable cars, and my son has everything he could ever want or need!) and we love our little family so much already that were even more excited talking about growing it!

  • How can I convince my father-in-law to get the whooping cough vaccine for the sake of his newborn grandson?

The doctor and my mother both recommended that everyone the baby is around consistently and for long periods of time should get a whooping cough vaccine! So basically most of my family members. My father-in-law is refusing, and called me stupid for getting my vaccine and allowing the doctor to give my baby the first dose of it at his 2 month apt. last week. Is there an article I can show him about how serious it is? Or are there any ways I can change his mind(visual facts or statistics)? I just want to keep my baby safe.

  • First night home, Can I give my baby formula?

I have a can of Newborn Enfamil powdered bottle mix that my mother got for us "just in case". I am currently breastfeeding my baby. We left the hospital at 7pm and it is currently 3am. He's had 1 really good feeding and that's it since being home. He's starving, and were both frustrated and exhausted. I've decided to quit breastfeeding. Can I give him a bottle with formula in it without consulting a doctor? We have a doctor's appt. today at 2pm but he is starving now! Thanks for your help!

  • Father-in Law helped us fix up our house, now he wants to send us a bill for the work he did..?

My husbands father agreed to pay us back some money that he owed us from a few years ago. We just bought a house, and he wanted to pay us back by helping us fix it up. He ended up spending about triple what he owed us from before. But it was by his choice, we asked for nothing! I ordered carpet, and he called and had it upgraded and payed for it. That's just one of the examples. I am greatly appreciative for him helping us, but heres the problem. My husband and I got into an argument and my husband broke a window(one that was already in the house from when we purchased it) and now he wants to send us a bill for all the money he spent on the house because he thinks that we are unappreciative of all the work he did. Is this right or even legal? I'm seriously annoyed that he's hanging it over our heads, he is very controlling and I feel like I should have not let him help us in the first place.

  • Possible Pregnancy Symptoms?

My period is now 15 days overdue. My periods are normally extremely regular. I've become dizzy a few times recently. My boobs are beginning to get sore, and I've been extremely tired. I've also been experiencing heart burn for the last two weeks. My stomach has recently become kind of tender in the lower region. I took about 4 pregnancy test, but just figure it's to early to tell. Has anyone else experienced these symptoms before or when they first found out they were expecting?

  • Will taking antibiotics effect anything if I could be pregnant?

I had unprotected sex on the 2, 3, and 4th of July. There is a strong possibility that I could be pregnant because I was ovulating as well. I got a bladder infection on the 5th and started taking antibiotics on the 6th, and have to continue until the 15th of july with the medication. Since it's to early to tell if i'm even pregnant, should I just keep taking the antibiotics, or call my doctor and have them put me on a different kind?!

  • How long will it take to establish good credit, say 500-600?

I'm 18, I've had my credit car with a $900 limit for about 6 months now. I put about $250 on it a month on average, and pay it in full EVERY single month, and i've never been late. How long would you estimate it would take for me to establish good credit if I continue this pattern? Are there any tricks to raise it quicker? I'm looking into buying a house, and getting a car loan.

  • Does this sound ok for bridesmaids gifts?

I have three bridesmaids, and there all very and equally close to me, so I have no maid of honor. I'm planning on getting them monogrammed heart keychains, $50 Victoria's secret gift card, lip shine from bath and body works, and some body mist form Victoria's secret. I'm going to get cute little totes, or just nice gift bags to put everything in. Is that too many things all jumbled together or does it sound ok? P.S. They will all like that, so it's not a matter of what they like.

  • Will it be dark for wedding pictures? When does it get dark in May?

My fiance and I just finished printing our invitations and are starting to send them out. We are getting married in the end of May, and I was just thinking about the time we put. I wrote on the invitations that the ceremony is at 6:30pm, which means it will be over by around 7pm. I live in Northern California, My question is will it be dark when we take pictures after the ceremony? What time does it get dark that time of year? We wanted sunset photos, will we be able to achieve that?

  • Condom broke during intercourse, took Plan B, I have a Question!?

Serious answers only, I really don't feel like dealing with people who waste there time on here.

My Fiance and I were having sex Friday night, and the condom broke completely and he finished inside me. Saturday afternoon I took the Plan B pill. My concern is that I was already ovulating at this time, according to an online ovulation calculator. Is there a possibility that I could be pregnant? I'm really concerned due to the fact that my wedding is in 4 months, and my dress does not allow for a baby bump. Has anyone ever taken Plan b and had it fail?

  • Is it illegal for a car dealership to sell you a car with a non-working E-Brake?

My boyfriend and I bought a used bmw about a year ago. It came with a 30day warranty, and it was very stupid of us not to get an extended warranty, but anyways. The first day I drove it I lifted the e-brake as I parked, and there was no clicking noise, nor was it a little hard to pull the e-brake up. We were suspicious and called the dealer ship. They told us that that was a feature Bmw's came with, the non clicking noise of the brake, and the ease of pulling it up. So we though nothing of it. About 3 months ago it was in the shop, since things started to majorly go wrong with the car. And our very trustworthy mechanic told us that the e-brake was completely broken. My question finally- I bought the car, and drove it off the dealerships lot with a faulty e brake, is that illegal for the dealership to sell me a car like that? A lot of other things were wrong too, we took the car to the dealership, and they said nothing was wrong. As soon as the warranty was up, we took it again, and they hit e with a $5,000 bill!

  • My future father-in law paying for wedding, and wants us to go by his religious beliefs..Fair?

My future father-in law is a Jehovah's Witness, and the only one in the family. But he is paying for our $10,000 wedding. Because of his religious beliefs, he says that there is going to be no toast. Should this be his decision, all of our other family members are going to congratulate us and wish us luck anyways, so why does it matter if we have a toast? Do you think this right?

  • Wedding at Disneyworld, need advice/Help!!?

My fiance and I are looking into getting married in DisneyWorld, We want to have the wedding ceremony at Sea Breeze point, and a little dinner at California grill instead of a reception, Considering the fact that were only going to have about 10 family member with us. We are going to pay for the guests hotels for three nights and if they wish to stay longer then the expenses are up to them. But also have them pay for air fair expenses, Do you think that is appropriate? Also, do you know anyone who has gotten married at Disneyworld?
