Last night my friend told me she is having continuous urges to commit suicide, and later I had a mental breakdown because of it. But I just can't seem to understand how to help her because she's not going through the teen drug-sex-alcohol-relation... stuff that I suffered from and I just can't relate. I'm helping her find a therapist, which is really hard because we live a few hundred miles apart.

I just want to know what I can do to help her? And how should I be reacting to this instead of drinking a bottle of tequila and having a mental breakdown?
